I was wondering why people didnt try to make their undersuits more accurate too.

The neck seal looks great by the way!

I think I'm going to be picking up a body suit pattern from walmart tommorow and some fabric. Then Im going to work at my sewing skill. Heck, Ive learned so many things from building this suit. Its crazy. Molding, casting, clay sculpting, fiberglassing, painting, strapping, and fixing to be sewing. Then Ill be doing electrics with fans, leds, and such.

BlueRealm...

good to see you in the thread :)

I figured you might be doing an undersuit :p

Looks like rubber for your neckseal?

P.S. Just spent about 3 hours looking at reference... redrawing, and then filling in the blanks with what I'm going to be using as the design for my undersuit.

If i can get my scanner working tomorrow i'll scan it and clean it up (possibly make an .ai from it)... we'll see

For a neckseal rubber would be best because any other material would be impossible to get on unless you have a zipper on it.

Here is my idea, It wont be as accurate, but its pretty dang close. What you could use is those padded suits and pants those moto-x guys use. Just get one in all black and your good to go. This was posted somewhere before but i dont remember exactly where.

Ok, so maybe I over-exhaggerated on the "3 hr" part. But here is what i drew last night from looking at the reference.

I drew the armor on the left half (this is what we all have seen quite clearly)...
and on the right Is what I imagine (pending some changes i'll make in illustrator) is what we cannot see under the armor.

The goal is to make a full bodysuit that looks good in its own right, but replicates the "visible" spaces that we see on the chief.

Again, i'll be cleaning this up and modifying it in illustrator.

You can see on the legs that i drew what looks like a climbing harness. I don't like that. It will be gone in the next version.

Alright, here is my final design.
Hope yall like it.

The pure black that you see on the undersuit is where i plan on using the lycra.

Ha! Good luck on making it. It looks really hard to make but props to you if you do achieve it, good job on the illustration btw

I probably won't go all out on a body suit,
but some parts that are important (parts that I see on people who make their armor and think, aw, that just kills the realism)
Abdomen/Lower back
Inner Thighs
Neck
I'll probably work on somethin that will suit my wants for those but after those just use underarmour or somethin

Should be fine... Costume making is where i've gotten my start and this actually is not the most complicated thing i've made so far... It's quite doable :)

Here's another costume i made using a similar process (and the same lycra I have been referring to) http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y87/Tsuyo...suit/Photo8.jpg
1 more. Complicated as well... but in a different sense.

Everything I make I do myself... To this date I've never had to commission any work.

i been thinking about doing the mark 5 version of this what do you think you would change on account of the mark 5?

Hmm..... I'm not really sure.

I would have to look at the reference, but I would assume it's simpler than the Mk6

Tsuyosa, Man you got mad sewing skills. That Spiderman is impressive. As you make this under suit I would like to see pics posted in this or another thread. Very inspiring!

Wow, you sir are very talented. I look forward to seeing more.
Is this something you would market to the community? I realize it would be difficult, but if you had the proper measurements could it work for you?
