UPDATE as of 01.28.11. Robert just started on my Quorra suit this afternoon. Also he just completed my helm. Will just use mesh for the eye holes. Quorra helm 99% complete, ~teehee. We're hoping to use it sunday so probably tomorrow he'll try to finish it. :)

I think I saw you guys on another website, deviantart maybe. Really nifty stuff. :D
Maybe this question has already been asked, but where did you get ahold of the rubber?

wow that look amazing and he is good. How did he make his template for the helmet?

thank you. the helmet was done freehand.

thanks. the rubber is readily available here in our country as it is mainly used for making flip-flops.

Looks awesome you guys!

thanks!

can i ask what kind of reflective tape you got? and how did you make it have a blueish colour?
oh also where did don get his helmet? not the full face one but the one with the visor.. it looks awesome :D
i forgot one thing, im not very experienced with foam costumes so what do you use to glue the foam together?

Thanks! :)

Those are some nice lookin suits! I want to make a Tron costume. I bought the deluxe identity disk from the store since I liked the movie and I liked that it lights up. XD haha I like the idea of the reflective tape, but I am a sucker for things that glow and light up so I was thinking about using that el sheet? I think that is what it's called. I know people have used the same stuff for the glowing eyes on an Iron Man helmet.

If I make a suit, I just gotta have the blue glow. haha But nice work on those suits. :)

good luck using el sheet halogoddess :)
itsl like 50 bucks per a4 sheet of it... all im gonna say is, make sure you dont mess up when cutting it out :p

its just the regular reflective tape used on cars. for DonRobert's helm i remember its like a baseball helm he got from a thrift shop then he just added the visor. the visor he got from a motorcycle helmet then had it cut to shape.

for the glue, we use cyanoacrylate adhesives. :)
