I like that your enclosing the inside of the armor. Makes it easier to create thickness during glassing as well as possible attachment points for padding depending on how you approach it. I think the inside layer helps add stability during filling rather than struts through the center alone.

I enclosed the inside of the cod and shaped the front inside for comfort....ahem....


the open area is for the chest spine area to fit in for comfort, trim as needed, and no it is not a fart vent. before anyone asks.

I don't know why the chin strap was separate but I included it with helmet. mesh welded and edited for small folds where possible with out changing it to much, sharpened details a little only. back "handle" area was edited big time but it still looks like the original. it had weird geometry, un-flat areas etc.



the chin strap will need to be trimmed as need on the ends

I had a look at that model a while back, Crim. It's decent but you'll need to put a lot of work into making it work as a helmet. Good luck if you decide to try though.

so that's what this is. this is the actual model with materials opened in pepakura, how did they put that in the game. is it an official picture? Aranine stated that it would take a bit of work but I might take a look at it after I get done with whats on my screen right now.

The doll was put in officially. The helmet itself I think was teased in a few screenshots released by Bungie, and there was speculation that it could be unlocked through various means in the game, but as far as I know, it's never been officially put into the game anywhere outside of Bungie's network.

Sweetness! That BR in pepakura would a great reference tool to use. I've searched high and low to find some good blue prints. Could use the function on the pep program to get different dimensions, and thicknesses. I know that there is one for download in the halo4 files thread but, it's a low depth file. I've seen it pepped, somewhere in one of the threads. Just doesn't do much justice. Awesome work, can't wait to see more!
