yes, i had 3000+ gamerpoints, most of them from Halo 3, Gears and Oblivion and DOA4. i found out that my entire achievements are gone once i joined xbox live. is there a way i can get them back or do i have to replay all of the games and get the stuff back? furthermore, i understand that all of the games and their memory are stored on the hard drive. if these are not tampered with, there might be a way to get the achievements back.

Anyways, like you said, they are stored on your hard drive, I think if you take a memory card, out your files from your first name and save them, then when you copy them back put them on your new name? Try that. Just a suggestion.
