Absolutely incredible! I hope you make a couple copies available. ;) I'll move this out of the noob area to the weapons forum for ya.

I am interested in seeing in progress pics, so when you get time upload them bad boys. How many parts are involved in the casting? How thick is the plastic?
What kind of paint did you use, it looks awesome? Nice drybrushing and washing. I am trying to come up with some ideas for my Spiker.

Seriously, I hope we could meet up in a con this year.

Or play paintball ^^

At least, I want to be in your team xD (I can be the ammo carrier ^^)

Ok here are the progress pics:

They only go as far back as some of the unpainted balsa master. I didn't take pics earlier b/c I didn't know if this would turn out well or not!

Buckle up, there's a lot of 'em

Painted Master Parts

Assembled Master (teeth are Photoshoped in to see what size and how many to make)

First cast of main body

Cleaned up body (I had to relocated that air regulator that you can see on there).

Mold box for the magwell. (Had to make a few parts out of Plexiglas since the wooden ones ended up the wrong size)

The master of one of the sawteeth. I made the tooth out of sculpey. The large tube is just a pen tube that will allow me to suspend the tooth. The little stick is to form an exhaust hole so when I pour the plastic into the finished mold, it won't fill up without air bubbles.

This is the setup that I concocted to create the mold.

This is the mold setup right before I pour the silicone in.

This is the resulting silicone mold. This is what I will pour the urethane into.

And this is my first ever piece of molded plastic!

This is the silicone magwell mold

Here's the first pour of one of the sides of the magwell. Now we wait...

All magwell parts. Sanded, and Dremeled.

Assembled Magwell

First half of Foregrip mold.

Like my toaster?

Both halves of Foregrip mold

Foregrip cast

Almost done

Lancer ready for paint.

And we've all seen this:

Great pics!! Thanks alot for taking the time to put them up to share with everyone. Gives me ideas for my molding project.
Whenever you get a chance can you talk alittle about your paint technique? No rush just pestering you. Metal effect painting has never been a strong point of mine.

If you wanna learn how to paint it like I did look no further than Adam's video tutorial. I pretty much followed that. Thanks Adam!
Painting Technique - Version 2

A few things to remember: Be patient, and be fearless. Yes fearless. You can always paint over again. The black washing and silver details are a thin coat. Go nuts.

But before all that, do a paint test. ;) I had a throw-away part that I primed and painted, then black washed. I was happy with the results so I used the same technique on the rest of the gun.

That looks brilliant! The fact that it is also a paint ball gun just adds more awsumsauce....

That's a face only a mother could love... rofl! ^.^ Just kidding...

Nice looking lancer... Reminds me of the one that Nightmare Armor Studios made...

That's sooo tight...

how do you get it to fit over your gun?? is it permantely on or can you remove it?
i was thinking about modding one of my paintball guns into a halo assault rifle.
