Finished Pilot/Haunted variant finished and ready to send off in a box across the continent. Hopefully the new owner pops up in the Midwest crew in the near future.

It was definitely a challenge to pack everything into the confines of a wearable helmet but the magnetized removable neck plate really helps. Everything operates off of 5V USB power which can be run as a battery pack either internal or external to the helmet. There's two low profile 2.5CFM fans on the cheeks pulling air down and blowing past the jawline, LEDs in the HUL[3] module, an Arduino Trinket controlling the light strip at the base of the teeth and a whole bunch of wire noodles running around the back of the helmet to keep it tidy.

Alright folks,
I figured as more and more posts are added to the Armor Discussion forum, a central place for all completed or near completed armor would be a beneficial reference for us all, as well as a Hall of Honor for those amazing artisans. This is for your armor, that you bought or built, not someone else’s.

If we can keep out the discussion of how's and why's that'd be great. Either PM the creators or start a new thread (remember to search first).

So if ya got 'em post some pics... (it'd be cool if you also posted a little snippet of how you made it i.e. Vacuum form, molds, materials, but it's your choice.)

Heroics
About 14 years ago I decided to make a Spartan 2 Mark VI Helmet. Only had images from the games and books. Today it sits beside a Mark VI Helmet that is part of a costume to show a comparison. Not DOT approved but it is made from a motorcycle helmet and looks good going 60mph on a Harley.

That is awesome. You have a talent that will take you places. Can't wait to see what else you build. It looks almost as if you just took it right out of the TV from the game. That is awesome. My oldest says the same. The details are amazing. Great job

Just ”finished” this in time for Halloween this year. Still a couple fitting issues I need to fix and features I wanted to add, maybe for next year. I’ve wanted to make Chief’s Mark VI armor ever since I read Fall of Reach and a couple of the other old Halo books ~17 years ago when I was a junior in high school and it said he was just over 2m tall, which I am (barely, at 6’7”). It is 3d printed on a CR-10 (a couple of the smaller pieces were resin printed) using files from thingiverse by moesizzlac. I finished them by coating them in uv curing 3d printing resin using a technique I saw on YouTube from galactic armory, then I sanded, hit them with a couple layers of filler primer, sanded again, and painted. I used the technique I found on this forum to do the visor, iDye poly with chrome paint on the back, that’s a piece I think I want to revisit, but I ran out of petg sheets, I just had to go with the best one.

Awesome job here. Always enjoy seeing other people's finished products.

The hands on the stand up dummy got me thinking of Deadpool.
