Ok I'm working on the base parts of the thigh part. Also looking at it very closely. Can I make this smaller part with thinner foam because it's a small detail?

Ok so the plan for cutting and tracing parts is to keep everything close together and Conserve amount of foam used

Almost done with the first thigh part. The pattern file had too many unnecessary edge parts that didn't match the in game model I looked at so I'm only going to cut out what needs to fit

Happy Easter everyone! Today I quickly re made the front part of the recruit chest piece because I didn't like the previous look. By any chance does anyone know how to connect armor pieces with anything better than Velcro straps?

Late night progress on new part. Quickly printed the shin part patterns then I'm off to bed. I measured the distance from my calf area to my knee cap because the file included the kneecap part.

Good news! I'm almost done with the first shin guard and everything looks good except the tiny gaps.
Tomorrow's plan is to finish the first shin guard and finish the second one. Then after that is the forearm parts, which will be easy because my arms are small. Deadline for the armor set is in a few weeks so I hope to be done before my birthday

Man you're making some serious progress! Just read through the whole thread today. Estate gold is my absolute favourite! Excellent choice

Today's build status:
Quickly re made the thigh pieces again but now with packing foam as a inner cushion. Shin guards and kneecap parts done and small gaps were plugged with foam clay. Still have to put an elastic on kneecap parts. Also have to decide where yellow color scheme will go on each part. Also re made the thruster part on chest piece because some parts needed to be fixed. I didn't get to the forearm parts yesterday and today as planned. Although the forearm and shoulder patterns were printed today and I memorized the parts. Forearm pieces have less pages because my arm is not that big

Build update for today:
Forearm parts mostly/probably finished! The foam file looks like it's more of a 4x4 rectangle shape but the in game reference is more round. The parts of the forearm could only form a rectangle shape when I glued it so I guess that's it for this part. Next up is the shoulder pads! For the shoulder pads, I want to remove the Bicep parts and replace it with a velcro strap so it's less work and easy to put on and take off. I think I know which parts on the armor pieces I want to paint that bright yellow color......

Progress update: All parts except boot pieces are done! Birthday is in a couple days so I should be done with the painting process in 2 days. For the boot parts, I'm still planning on how to make that work. Maybe re use an old pair of shoes and build over the shoe base? A lot of foam clay was used in the past week to clear up some small holes and cracks missed when gluing parts. I made new forearm parts with cushions, then added elastic straps on kneecap parts. 1st test fit with all armor pieces went somewhat well. The velcro on the chest piece fell apart when doing a walking test. So I'm using buckle straps next because those are more secure.
Last note: Finally mapped out the yellow pieces for painting

This is what my plan is. I had an old pair of boots that I don't really wear anymore so I honestly just measured and adjusted to make the foam boot fit over the boot. I know that is what a fair amount of others have done
