Halo 5 Athlon Build

Hey guys its actually been a really long time since my last post hear. But its about time I get back to building the fun stuff lol. so i know its pretty early on but im starting this build today. The helmet was 3d printed by me and modeled By Josh West. I plan on molding the helmet either while this build is in progress or after, so castings will be available eventually lol.

for now hears a shot of the helmet ill post more progress hopefully tonight im going with the black and yellow color scheme. no more red or blue team lol.

So i actually made some progress today! I was able to make the shoulders and started templating out some other armor pieces.

just a quick shot of the progress ill have better pics tomorrow and maybe paint as well

for the past two nights i have been modeling the chest piece and just last night i finally put it together.

after putting it together i actually made it too long but eventually i will change it once i get further on the armor

next ill be starting on the forearms and the back.

I actually use two types of knives i use a x-acto knife for smaller detail pieces
and small box cutter for the larger shapes that i need to cut out.

finally i had time to work on this guy tonight and i finished the back and now im working on finishing up the shoulders and connecting the chest to the back

I added the bottom piece and painted it in white plasti-dip because i ran out of black lol

Hopefully i will have enough time to finish the shoulders and the forearms soon!

Ok so i havent given up on the project yet. Even though the weather hates me! I was still abble to knock out the forearms and under arms for the chest.

I atempted to start painting but no matter what time of day i spray the paint, the paint gets cloud. I use a hair dryer to get rid of it but its a pain to do for every piece.....



Oh and i also made the butt plate!
Nothing special but its still progress lol

That looks sweet! Hopefully someday I can do an athlon build, although I'm pretty sure mine won't have the nice curves that yours does. Do you think you can get the armor done by Halloween?

This build looks amazing! Its really cool that its all freehand. Very nice clean cuts on the foam its all coming together.
