I spent the weekend working on this beauty.

Note: My camera doesn't do justice to all the little details.

I will be scratch building the pieces that go into the recessed areas of the ears and cheeks.

I used a file created by ForgedReclaimer(my new favorite pep modeler) located here:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/31200-ForgedReclaimer-s-Pepakura-Database
The model is wonderfully detailed and he includes a few reference shots as well as images showing where and how other details should be placed.
He even includes separate files for the various accessories to the helmet.

This will be on the back burner to my Blood Dragon build but I cannot wait to work on it.

As this will most likely turn into a Jorge armor build I have a small update, Up-Armored helmet accessory.

It's only held on with a small bit of masking tape for now but it will not look as awkward when finalized. Also, the first image makes it look a bit large but it's just the angle of the picture.

As this will be turned into a Jorge build when I finish my Blood Dragon,
I'm thinking of modding this(N-Strike Vulcan):

into this(Jorge's custom M247H):

Though it may just be using the parts in a scratch built frame.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

It's been a while since I've had the chance to do any building but here is a look at what I was able to do today.
Jorge's backpack:

I used my 3D model to create templates and then cut them out using my new scroll saw with the proper angles so each joint lines up perfectly.
The orange parts are 3mm foam for raised details.
It may not look like much but it stands at just under 14 inches so far.
I'll work on it some more tomorrow and hopefully have it fully assembled by the end of the week.

It looks really good dude. How are you liking the new scroll saw? Also, how does it handle on foam? The joint lines all look nice and clean from the photo, so it doesn't apear that the scroll saw is chewing up the foam or anything. Im thnking about getting one of these for foam work, thats why im asking. Thanks again my man! Again, looks good.

I didn't get as much done by now as I had hoped but I need to buy some more blades for the saw before I continue.
Here is what I have so far:

Sorry about the image being small, I didn't want the sides to get cut off in the thread.

So close to being done I can almost taste it.
Although that may just be all the EVA saw dust floating around my office.

The upper details are the same for each side so I only took a picture of the left.
Hopefully I can have it finished up within the next day or two.

Just need to finish off the back and add a few more detail pieces.

I'm so proud of my little saw:

I think I need to plan my part layouts better to turn a huge pile of scraps into a small-medium one.
