Halo Reach Midnight Launch

hey guys!
Just came back from the midnight launch for halo reach!
I'm so excited!
the employees gave me 2 halo reach hoodies, a cardboard stand out and a giant halo reach box.
I got a ton of pictures, I also got an inflatable energy sword!
I will post pictures when I fire up the game.
sooo tell me guys.... HOW WAS YOUR MIDNIGHT LAUNCH?!

i just got back from my local store but unfortunately i had preordered at a store that didn't to the midnight release. i hung out at the one close to me in my armor and got pictures taken of me handing people their copies that will be up on the EBgames website! i also got a few awesome things like one of those giant boxes

People at mine were great, loads of pics taken of me, los of questions about what the suits made off etc and I ran into two new local builders! The store were stingy and didn't uphold what they said when I offered to come, but overall a great night!

Ok so for me I did'nt pre-order or anything I just went to my local Wal-Mart in my H3 Marine, I got 3 pictures taken with me, and there was a mix up and they got one Halo Legendary box delivered to the store nobody preordered it, so I bought it instead of getting the regular copy of the game. What was sad is there was only 10 people or less for the release at my Wal-Mart but there was another Wal-Mart is a store a couple citys over about 20 mi. away and they had over 100 people show up.

i went to my local gamestop (hulen street) and there where over 100 people.
i wasnt buying the game but i went in my mark IV suit and got lots of attention! but here's what's amazing, the nationwide employer manager (not sure what her official title was) just happened to be there. she loved my armor so she gave me the stores COUNTDOWN TIMER!!!!!! its at 0:00:00:00 of course, but i had it signed by her and all the employees and then she made my night!!!!! she asked if i wanted to come down to gamestop hq and meet the CEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i going to try and get him and any of the other high standing officials to sign it as well!!!!!

im jealous you all got a midnight launch.. over here in western australia its actually illegal to hold a midnight launch!! :/ not cool at all..
so i went down in the day to my Game store we got given a free copy of reach each,
but it didnt get busy.. western aus is not a hyped up place for launch days..

My wife and I hosted the launch party at the humble TX gamestop , they had about 200 in line , i also walked away with a great assortment of stuff ,

standee, large poster ,a copy of the game , ltd shot glasses and got paid .. pic of the gamestop crew after the event , i did have a few leg issues , met a few young kids who got thier pep file here , and we have been booked in for 3 more launch events for other games

I decided that the Reach launch would be as good an excuse as any to finally assemble and wear a suit. As far as I know, this is the first time one of my kits has been completely assembled and painted:

Rosh and myself from the phoenix team hit up the same BestBuy. We finished our helmets just in time for the release but only got to wear them for like 5min at the store. Then the guys at the door asked us to take off the hemlets. Lame. But hey this was worth it.

Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to take pics at the actual release, so here is the pic of this morning with both of out helmets on.

A bit rushed but it was awesome to rock them out in public. Even if it was only for a little while.

I just picked up my copy Reach at my local gamestop. Almost 200 people were present and there was even a costume contest. There was another dude there dressed as a Jun/ODST combo. I personally thought he did a pretty good job on his suit. The costume contest was judged by applause and cheer for each contestant. I got the loudest cheers and won a gift card to gamestop. Took a lot of pics with people and had a lot of people ask to take their picture with me. Overall, it was a really fun experience. Anyway, here's the pics I apologize for the bad lighting in some pictures.

Ahh...we had a total of 8 guys at one of the Gamestops here in Hawaii....I myself went but didn't have all my parts so I went as a Hybrid...but hopefully pics will help!

I was looking in the $9.99 PS2 games, didn't know because my visor was totally FOGGED up, notice how close it is to my face!!

i had an AMAZING time at the nidnight release! i went in my noble 6 armor and like 50 people asked me for pictures. the guys at gamestop gave me a reach hoodie and a red vs blue dvd. im trying to get pics of me at the release but ill get em' on when i find them. i hope everyone had as much fun as i did!

I'll throw some pics into the mix! The Reach Launch in Plano was excellent - I'm guessing 150 people in total. The staff at Gamestop was very excited to see me actually show up and the fans went NUTZ when I came out of the back room with the Hammer. I've got some video as well but for now some pics will have to do...

Most of these are from when the store was clearing out but if I can get the video up, you will get a better idea of the mayhem. I charged out of the door with the Hammer and people fell over themselves getting in (and out) of the way. Great Time!

That is me and my bro! He is wearing a recon I got from troubleis1983 on the forums and it is awesome, and I am wearing the noble 6 helmet I made! And the armor shirt from Ruze789...

Just look at the dudes face...

Funny thing is they had you go grab the box yourself... I went up and he is like "Receipt?" Looks up at me "Woah... let me go get that for you..."


I felt famous that night. People were like, "Where did you buy those helmets?" I was like, "Made them." They was like "HOLY S***"
Then one dude asked and when I mentioned 405th on waypoint he was like "OMG I have seen those guys! They are freaking amazing!" That same dude won a statue helmet (much like the master chief legendary helmet) of Jun in a raffle! Then I held up mine from across the mall and he gave me 2 thumbs way up.

There was about 300 people there and almost everyone took my picture (even while I was in the bathroom peeing, but that is another story)... forget I said that
There was a big count down and then everyone yelled REACH as loud as possible!

PS wouldnt it have been cool at the 11:50 mark they played on the loud speaker "Ten minutes remaining" "Five minutes remaining" "One minute remaining" "Thirty seconds remaining" "Ten seconds remaining" "Game Over"

Showed up at my local gamestop. No free stuff yet but crowd went nuts when i walked around the corner in my armor. They gave away the display and countdown clock, I drew out the names. I experienced the same as everyone else lots of pictures and questions. I had a blast was well worth it.
