Thank you. :) And I'm sure Ruze appreciates the compliments too. He certainly deserves them for his work.

I've started modelling it, been hard not to really. LOL! I'm making progress too, I'm unsure about some of the areas I've done but it is early days.

A pic so far:

1-Frantically runs round room mumbling rubbish.

2-Sits down

3-Stares at the awesomnes

4-Pulls together remaining peices of cardstock.

5-Set's up tent and refreshes page every 5 seconds.

Looks awesome skip. :) I cannot wait!

Epic. Skip... You'r my hero.

LOL!!!! You're a funny guy Smilie! :D

I'm happy to have finally started it, though as I said earlier, progress will be slow I think. The other commitments have to come first. I'll work on this inbetween them though. ;)

The problem was some of the perspective distortion in them was so great that it made modelling pretty tough in places.

If you make the focal length in your modelling camera a bit longer that can help. Looks like you're off to a grat start, I had a peek at your blog too, you've got some nice helmets happening there. I like the ep3 clone, I'm working on one of those myself :)

Thanks NZ! Means alot coing from you.

Yeah my Clone helmet is one I've wanted for a long time. I can't afford a proper one these days so I'm hopeful for a pep version.

I've just got alot going on these days so time is the main factor. Not that I'm complaining though. :D

Oh yeah I peeked at your 76 bumblebee. Nice work! The textures were perfect. I don't know how you do it. I need to learn to texture so bad... but anyways when are you planning on releasing barricade? (if you are)

I textured the '76(Beater Bee as it's known) by using screen captures from the DVD and special disc. Then, the areas where I couldn't use the screen captures, I created my own. So it's a hybrid really. Barricade will be along soon, though some commisiion work comes first.

Thanks for visiting, :)

Patience is a virtue.. Suddenly theres been an explosion of busas everywhere. But I think il wait till your is finished skip. You've been 3d modeling more than anyone else here... Probrably. And I know you'l do a good job.

Thanks for the vote of confidence again Smilie!

I did some more sneaky work on this.

Not sure about the point of the center spike, it can be tweaked later though. I'm trying to avoid over-complicating these spikes. So far it looks Ok I think. :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! This one was tricky to draw properly, but it's been fun...

That model is shaping up real nice real quick, Skip! Looking awesome so far. I might have to build this one too, just to justify looking at it for so long.

You deserve the credit Ruze.

This has been going pretty smoothly so far, thanks to you. ;) Though I do have some tricky spts coming up. Such as joining these spikes to the helmet at the back. :(

really cool man and you only said you had 4-5 months expiereince with this! truly extroadinary man and i think no matter how hard you try not to complicate the spikes theyre going to end up complicated anyway

4-5 months with this software. I used to use Truespace before that, I'd been using that for round 11 years.

I think I've managed to keep the spikes simple. As simple as I can anyway. :)

Ok, I thought I'd post my last update for the night. So much for this not being a race! LOL! :D

I've just found it hard to pull myself away from this one today. I've been waiting to start this one for a wee while now, so it's been good to get it off the ground.

Anyway, I have all the spikes done, now I'm moving down to the face.

Goodnight people! ;)
