Just joined and wanted to throw an intro thread out there.

While I am not the most avid Halo fan, I am a Star Wars geek and plan on making some stromtrooper or clone trooper armor and I like what I see here. Looking forward to some good advice and tips from some of the people around here.

What I have seen is amazing for the most part and I will be using Pep as a base for my armor. Not really looking to wear it but use it more for home decor. I figured it would be much cooler to have several stormtrooper armor sets over medieval knights!

I will post progress pics as I move along.

I have done extensive research and decided to go the pep route as it tends to be a little cheaper with some great results. I had looked into possibly building my own vacuum former and using PVC for my first, but I decided against it.

I actually did a Commander Rex helmet out of plain copy paper as an initial test and it worked out great. I will use the card stock now and start printing, cutting and pasting.

My mother is quite the crafter and has already agreed to do the weathering on the armor for me to give it that war torn look.

now the wheels are spinning.... *imagines a full scale model of a Spartan and an Elite in hand to hand combat*
