Ive tried three different times, but each time, I've made my helmet either just a little small, or way too big. Could someone help me by posting what measurements I need on my head, where, and how to calculate it? I've looked all over 405th and google, and I'm still fairly confused.

Hi an welcome to the 405th there are plenty of stickies that may help you with scaling and other things as well. The best way I found to scale helmets is to use the width measurement. Measure you head from ear to ear( if you wear glasses measure from arm to arm on your glasses while wearing them). For those who don't wear glasses place a peace of paper on a table, desk or tape it to the wall. Place your head on the paper and using a pencil make a mark from both sides of your head just above the ear. Measure between the two points and add 3 inches (for padding) this number is the base number for any helm you wish to make so write it down some where. The next part you nee the model up in pep for reference. Looking at the model head on guesstimate the distance from the visor to the widest part of the helm (usually in the cheek area). Most of them are between 1 and 3 inches, add this to your base number, convert to mm and plug into pep designer in the width measurement. Print, build and enjoy. Also don't worry about the opening you can trim that to fit over your head once the helmet is built.

Thank god for the 405th community.

Wow man. I can't believe how fast I got a response. You don't know how thrilled I am. Thank you very much for the assist, I'll try that. It seems much easier than the videos and other threads I've been reading. I'll post on here if it works out.
