Sorry no Updates on the hand plates.

First I got the package yesterday

BUT!!!

The problem is that

1. I have low grades, and have to bring them up, so I have to do a LOT OF WORK

2. The FCATs are coming up and I have to study

and

3 I don't have time to create the mold, because of excuse #1 and #2

Hey Guys,

5 hours ago I started making my mold.

And I have a couple of questions for who already created one.

Like I said, I created a mold 3 hours ago.

The first hour I left the mold alone with hair dryer on near it.

Then with A Toothpick I poke the mold and it was still a liquid. Then in about 15 mins I created a heatbox.

All I did was get a box added a couple of holes, putted the mold inside and stuck the dryer through a big hole.

And now I felt curious and poke the mold with a plastic fork and it was hard, and I tried with my finger and It was hard but if felt like it was fresh. You know what I mean???

dont take it out yet!!!!!

wait at least 8 hours after you create your mold to de-mold it. BE PATIENT!!!

or else you may be sorry....

I know but I putted the mold in a heatbox so it will cure faster.

I can wait the 8 hours but the problem is that I dont want my mold to over cook or something

I just unplugged the dryer, I will just leave the mold rest for about 1 more hour.

I think 4 hours of being in a 150 degree box is enough. I would just leave it to cool down.

Ok, I risked it and took the mold out.

The mold came out alright, but it was warm because of the heatbox.

The only problem I founded it was that the clay handplate boiled inside and it has holes all over it.

I just left it alone and didnt worried about it.

Right now Im gonna make a cast and see how it looks like.

Tomorrow I will be posting pics

All they need is some sanding,I still have alot of casting resin left,so I will be making more today.

After I smooth one out Im gonna make another mold with the smooth piece.
