Ma5B Or Ma5C, What Do You Think?

Well, I love the extended look of the MA5C over the stubby look of the MA5B. But, I also love the more badass and powerful firing sound of the MA5B than the quiet and `weaker`sound of the MA5C.



But I'm all about looks, not performance. So I'll go with MA5C. (This is also why I'm thinking of making a separate sound card for my MA5C with the MA5B on it)

The fact I can hit enemies about 20-25 ft, (Not actual measurements, don't get mad if it's wrong.) Is something I like better than the whole "More Ammo" arguement. Also I think the MA5C does slightly better on shielded opponents than the MA5B.

Now i look at my guns from a usage point of view. It needs 3 things: power, range, and lots of amo. i burn through amo like theres no tommorow. i need range when im stuck behind a corner (or intimidationg firepower to scare them)and damge so that i can go in, take 'em down, and get out. if i put the ma5b into halo 3 i would kill every brute i saw and have amo left over. the brute power suits are, as you would say, rushed. they are not as advanced as elite's armor. it wouldnt take long to get rid of a brute with one.



p.s. if you dont agree with me, think of this: elites are strong and hard to kill because of their armor. brutes are just as esay to kill as in halo 2 and they dont have rechargable armor. think about it.

Also, you are aware the MA5B has worse accuracy at range as well as lower damage per shot? The only better thing about the MA5B is magazine capacity and rate of fire, and even then, the states mean the MA5C is more than its equal. D:

on every one whose says MA5C for the 2 tone, i know this is a armor making site but in war, whose gonna give a damn what color your guns is? not even you will you will just care that it works and keeps you alive. plus the MA5C should have a 60 round mag. come on mechanically reduced due to loss of spring strength? the only stress put on the mag is when it is being loaded, its called static and kinetic load, static being a full mag. if spring lost strength from bearing a load, every car would need to have their shocks replaced every few months to years.

I'm going to defend the "looks" people, as there's a lot to be said for falling in love with your issue weapon. At least we know those people will take care of their weapon.

Yeah, the color matters alot to me. And the 32 round magazine is ALOT more realistic. Most guns that can be classified as an "assault rifle"(ak47, m4, SCAR) have about 30 rounds in their clip.

From what I remember, Bungie created the MA5C to replace the SMG as a more balanced starting weapon.

The SMG was basically just a reskinned MA5B (according to the Art of Halo) with the ability to dual wield.

Bungie didn't like how at the beginning of every Halo 2 match, all the players would bum rush for the BR or a different weapon because the SMG was just too weak on it's own. So they created the MA5C with a lot more firepower and better accuracy, but in order to balance it, they cut the mag in half, giving you just enough to kill one Spartan.



I would personally prefer the MA5C.

More power, more accuracy, more awesomeness.

i say i would rather have a ma5b as a standard then a ma5c because of the power (the sound makes it seem more powerful and intimidating)plus we must remember THIS IS 2552-2553 this is 542 years in the future, high cap mags being standard are gonna be normal. i say the ma5c is a good hand out weapon when your down on supplys and need something to shoot with like on earth but i say ma5b if you want to win a war. we must not forget the OTHER range of weapons not mentioned. like the ma5k (im a fan thanks to GOO) and the shotgun, rocket launcher, smg, m6 series, batle rifle, and spartan laser. most of the time when, say, a spartan II was sent out, it was mostly for very, VERY dangrous mid-close qaurters combat. this means a battle rifle, shotgun, and ma5B are prefered. I hope i proved my point
