Hmm, my mistake. Either way, I feel very sorry for the thousands of people who lost irreplaceable files from this massive wave of congressional BS. Think about the people with things like photos of deceased family members, wills, other legal documentation, and things of that nature that (while they probably shouldnt have) people have stored on these websites such as this. Being an avid redditor myself, Ive seen a lot of stories like this, and its really disappointing.

i found this video a little while ago.......can anyone say conspiracy?

i know they guy is kind of annoying but push through.

I read this somewhere, but I wish could remember where I read it, but from what I understood of the article is that 'the FBI Raided this office in the attempt to reinforce and demonstrate the fed gov strength in enforcing this law in response to the SOPA and PIPA bills losing support.'
I might have read this on Wii news, but I'm not entirely sure. As soon as I find out I'll post the source.

Which in hindsight what they did was BS and illegal. This is what's going to happen: When these guys are brought up to a fed judge, the judge is going to toss out the case and say that there wasn't enough PC and those individuals will be free to go. But there is no law that states that the Fed Gov has to reinstate and unblock the website, which in the end is what they wanted.
But these things are to be expected when you have a socialistic administration.

I read the same thing at CNET. From what I read, the case may be weak. A suit was brought against YouTube a few years ago of copyright violation. The judge dismissed the case. Our common law will uphold the same judgement. But the harm was already done. The federal government will use this case as an example of SOPA and PIPA.

if a person were to put a Micheal Jackson song up on a website such as 4shared, they could be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison. The going rate for killing Micheal Jackson? 4 years.

now that is just F@CKED in the head. personally, i dont to much like Jackson, but really, only 4 years.

Yeah, its absurd. Not to mention there was also going to be a fine of something around $100,000 for every person who downloaded the file. Its truly hard to believe the abuse of power thats going on.
