Hi there I am working on my second suit of Spartan armour for myself, and this is my third cosplay I have done, the First being a Mandalorian set, I went to my first convention in my armour last year and loved it, I am wanting to make my new set a lor more easy to put on and more comfortable to wear.

I have had most of my armour printed out in December straight after I got back from a convention, but I haven’t worked on it, but since the next con is in November this year, I need to start working on it now.

The main armour is from titalwave Design and the shoulders are from Galactic Armory and Aguilar workshop, I am 3D oritning all the parts on my two bambu P1S's and some parts for a commando gun I am using a Uniformation GK3 ULTRA( I will post more of that in a couple days)

I’m working off from my Spartan in game, wanting to re create it, I only have the bottom half left to do and the helmet, which I am going to make a cast for it and cast the helmet so it’s more lightweight and durable, and I am wanting to sell the helmet cast so its worth it.

This is amazing! I'm working on my first build now and I'm excited to see how you handle the challenges of designing for comfort. Is the chest unit a single piece (not split) that you just slide on?

Hi there, so the chest pieces is two pieces that I put the back on and then the front, there is magnets in it to help keep them attached. I do want to make the inner seal, but that will be made out of something flexible.

For the inner seal, I would suggest something like PT Flex 50 personally. It will be rigid enough to hold shape and support the armor while also giving some flex for comfort. I am actually pouring a new one for myself out of it today :D

The dark weathering on the completed parts is fantastic. Is it just a black wash over the finished colour?

Thank you, so for the weathering I do a black acrylic wash over everything and let it fully dry before I go back over with a damp cloth and dry as I go along, and then I go over with the silver edges and scratches.

Inner chest.
I wasn't going to print this out, but when looking at a video of myself testing the armour it looked like something was missing so I decided to print out the inner chest, I will have half attached onto the front and the other half on the back so I can still use the chest as two part as this wont fit over my head.
I will sand down and paint it grey with heavy black weathering so it will look more black, but with some detail, I wasn't going to print this part but with looking at the chest with the part printed out it looks loads better, I was wanting to make some of the undersuit and cast it, but with MCM comic con in 5 weeks, and I still need to finish the armour, make a gun and re make the forearms I don't have time, but I might do it in the future.

Helmet
I have finally gotten the helmet made, the files are from Titalwave Design, I will have to change the visor from the resin one to a tint as its such a small area to look out of I need all the visibility I can get and I can see out of the visor, but It is blurry, which I think is from the lacquer that I use, so might have to try a clear coat instead.

But I still have to add the fans and padding, but I love how it turned out and has a really mean look to it.
