well I thnk youll win by a great landslide. Can you please tell me how you unsharpened the edges of your chest peice after you cut it? this is because i made gears of war shins like this, but my edges are to sharp. thanks

I tried sanding them but it only make it a bit duller. I don't have the tools to grind it down so I've used lots of foam to separate the edges from my body to prevent it from catching on myself. It's one of the reasons I greatly reduced the use of metal in my design.

The best way to dull sharp edges on sheet metal Gearsofhalo is to use a metal file. Here is how you correctly use a metal file.
First if you have some chalk laying around like you would use on a chalkboard or sidewalk you are ahead of the game. Rub some chalk on the files face, this helps to prevent the file from getting loaded, more on this later.

Take the metal file to the sharp edge and work it over it, pushing the file over the sharp edge, moving it in an upside down U motion. At the end of its travel pick the file up and repeat this. Never drag the file backwards over the work, this will dull its cutting edge. The goal is to make the edge rounded. Also occasionally tap the file on its side to knock out the metal filings. If you don't the file will load up and wont cut anymore. Its hard for me to describe how this is done but I gave it my best shot, hope this helps.

If at all possible seek out someone with first hand experience in metal work and talk them into showing you how to do this first hand. Good examples would be Automotive body men, Gun Smiths, Armor Smiths and the average Craftsman.

Simply put, It looks like REAL LIFE mark V armor. so the armor is awesome, now for the under suit right?

What did you use to fill your mannequin. Im in the process of mine and id like not have to use expanding foam if I could avoid it. Little too expensive. Mine is filled with packaging paper right now.

Moz, that's the godliest thing I've seen so far. I love the shield lights, the bolts give it a really utilitarian look, it's really well built in general. All you need now is maybe something to cover up the skin on your neck and maybe widen the forearms a little near the elbows and it's perfect.

How are you going to achieve the metal reflective effect across the whole armor? I think you mentioned reflective squares at some point, but I couldn't find any other reference to it.
