you may have the CD Harvest, i'm not a fan of that album but one really great song on there is "Harvest" I dont know why i like it..... it seems simple....but it always brings my stress levels down lol

if you dont already have Pariah, get it. IMO thats their best work.

I cant choose favorite Opeth albums or songs... they ALL are theraputic and I cant go one day without hearing one of their songs..... actually my name BlacRoseImmortal is a song by Opeth. It was the first song I ever heard from them and it literally saved my life. i wont go into detail lol. right now i have Face of Melinda looping on iTunes, if i'm not mistaken Mikael wrote this song for his wife. It has one of the best instrumental pieces Ive ever heard, and it's so easy! I'm missing the tip on my left index finger from playing bass for a few straight hours just figuring out how to play thissong.... *sigh* i'm on a rant again lol.

EVERYONE, LISTEN TO OPETH AND YOU SHALL SEE THE LIGHT! lol

I love Face of Melinda!

As for Naglfar, I'm pretty sure I have all the albums they made so far. There are 5, right?

Oh, oh, I want to suggest you a band, if you haven't heard them already, Rose. They're called Green Carnation. Disbanded now, but man, their stuff was fabulous...for a lot of songs they used theremin as an instrument! Try looking for an album called Light of Day, Day of Darkness. It's one song of about 56 minutes and it never gets boring. Terje (the founder) wrote it for his son. Also, look for an album Acoustic Verses. There are 2 songs on that album that blow me away every time I hear them. One of them is called Alone, it's actually a poem by Poe which they turned into a song.

Will do Odessa.... i'm goin on eBay riiiiight now lol.

If you ever wanna talk metal, shoot me a PM ^^.. i can show you all my concert photos and crappy videos i have of Mikael/Opeth too

Haha, I might take you up on that sometime. I'm babbling like nuts when I get into a discussion about metal... :cautious:
Just tell me to shut up when all of you get tired of it.

I grew up with ghetto bass and I still have my first mixed tape I recorded in 1986.

I really haven't changed much in my music, I like other types it its pleasing to my ears.
Of course, music in the 80s was all over the place, some great, some awful, and everything in between.

I lost count of how many times I got flamed hardcore at b.net for saying that I like soulja boy. The metal fans there (b.net) are merciless.
If anyone disagrees with their taste in music, they're not worthy of living. (Its quite sad really)

Only stuff I really don't like is opera, country (exception: Shania Twain, she'shot) and scream-o metal. I would rather chew aluminum than listen to someone grunt like they are possessed by a demon.

Then again, a lot of the main stream music just makes me run to the stereo and change the station as soon as the song starts..
Artists like beyoncee, alicia keys, rhyanna... All these girls with nagging lyrics and obnoxious voices.. I can't stand them.
That song by beyoncee talking about put a ring on it, makes my skin crawl!!!

If it has a good beat, and its fun to listen to, I'll enjoy it.. Like Dire Straits, I <3 Mark's music and guitar play.
Stuff like Yanni is really cool as well.

I listen to everything, except country. lol

My taste in music has never really changed, I've always been a metalhead. I've never stopped liking the music I first listened to, I just added more to it. Now, I do listen to a 'lot' of other music, but metal is pretty much where it's at. NIN/Trent Reznor and S.O.A.D./Serj Tankian would have to be my favorite artists, I like lyrics that have a lot of meaning.

With that said Opeth is great. Iron Maiden, DevilDriver, and Mushroomhead are all up there. I likes me some rap. too. The only Soulja Boy song I've listened to is "Soulja Boy", and I think it's pretty good. I learned part of that stupid dance, too... I just swing my hands around, and let everyone else do rest. ^.^

Besides those I listen to everything from Celldweller to Franz Ferdinand, and pretty much everything in between.

this forum is full of metal heads isnt it Xp

well i havent seen anybody mention Kid Rock, so im gunna go ahead and add that to my list

he is like the perfect mix of country, rock, and rap
(though i hate country, kid rock is pretty good)
