So I have ventured onto this forum on and off for months, and four days ago I decided to try something basic to start out with. I am 19 and I have no experience doing anything like this so please go easy on me.
I started out with the Legendary Halo 3 Helmet. While I know that it is small, I wanted a base the first time around. It took me awhile to disassemble, reassemble, and then dremel out the inside. (It was my first time with a dremel tool).
Next, following advice I have seen on this forum, I painted the entire helmet a metallic silver before I painted the actual colors. Now my detail scratches look so much more realistic.
Finally, I had to learn to solder and wire up a switch which took me a great deal of time. I also have temporary foam on the inside to make it fit me better. The LED's are from pocket flashlights to ensure their brightness.
-----------------------
Video of it almost finished. (Visor still needs a center piece...)

NOTE: Thank you for putting all of this insanely valuable information on this forum. Without it, none of this would have been possible.
Also, I apologize if my first post is not in the correct section. I was confuesed on where to put my project, but since it had a video I assumed this would suit it best.
Thanks Again 405th.
