Introduction
A: Animated Feature Film: My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013)
B: Thesis: In the Animated Picture, My Little Pony Equestria Girls, the natural laws of physics are bent in various ways and often times, broken.
Paragraph 1
The wings make the pony
Wing anatomy of some ponies is off
wings grow out of ribcage
wings not long/large enough to support equines in flight
even when humanized ponies have wings, the size is too small for "flying"
Twilight cannot fly properly
falls without gradual descent
Humanized characters hover without flapping
humanized characters no need to re-learn how to fly in new bodies
Paragraph 2
Horse Power
Ponies seem to have varying constancies of body mass
Twilight bumps into another character- each reaction varies
bumps startle, jolt and even knock her on the ground.
all moving at same speed each time
Characters have abnormal physical flexibility
Pinkie Pie- transforms from a ball, human-duster, breaking the fourth wall
Characters in motion can stop on a dime without overlapping action.
Characters are always stable
lunchroom flash mob, students can move their legs without moving the rest of
their bodies
Humans can run like equines with ease
Spike, a dog, can balance on two feet.
Paragraph 3
Light 'em Up!
Light has physical properties
Sunset Shimmer literally "hits" students with light to brainwash them
Mane characters create light that is a physical shield against harm
Atomic rainbow creates a crater in the ground
Conclusion
Physics are constantly broken at various moments throughout the film.
Neck breaking, jaw breaking, twisted hands, etc
We could say that breaking the laws of physics could be done just for the pure joy of watching
it, but why not just say it's because of magic.
