One thing though, i can see you painted the inside of that thigh. You dont need to do that save your self the paint

why, you do not know how pleased i am to get such amazing feed back, about foam! well, here is a finished thigh (just the rest to go, and what a learning curve!)

this is it before the spray, after i took the masking tape off, it peeled away some of the paint, but it looks very nice from far away. the inner foam parts take the eyes away from the horrible angular thigh.

finished YAY!!!! you can hardley see the aweful hot glue gun-ness

i think the hardest bit next will be replicating a similar pattern throughout the whole armour, hopefuly it wont be too hard.

@ sixxa - oh, ok, thanks for the advoce, though that paint is really really cheap (whay cant everything in England be as cheap)

That's looking awesome, are you considering breaking up the shapes that the armor makes with white ghillie-like cloth?(around the neck and belt, places like that.)

thats a brilliant idea. i was playing with the idea to put strips of material in, but thought it would look strange, but if put in the right place (such as where Jun has it in reach!) then it would look ok, the problem would be getting the right balance, but i would consider it.

well, unfortunately, it will be put on hold for a while, because (the irony) winter is coming and its just not warm enough to do the resin, so unless i can rent my mothers garage, and get a heater...

this is back on track baby! its not going to be good (hell, iv resorted to duct tape in some places, but i might just be able to get this done in time for the 22nd (because i have already pepped it and resined it, there is just the HUGE job of fibreglassing the whole lot ( at the rate im going, i could get it all done just in time)

the hat is just a thing i do. to show im a strange person and people should stay away.

if i look stoned in that picture its because i use UHU glue, in a small room, with the window open a bit because its cold, and im really really tired.

Wow, it's looking awesome man! I'm surprised I missed that foam thigh technique on AceNat's W.I.P, but I'm glad I saw it here, gonna give it a go since I stuffed up my first thigh anywayz

yeah. if i can spread anything from this thread, it is the EVA foam for the thighs. AceNat did it, but because all her other stuff was so awesome, most people missed it, and the foam is slightly flexible, so more comfortable.
anyway. todays update, i completeley forgot that i had run out of resin, fibreglass and hardner, and because its sinday, the local shop that sells that stuff is closed. but i did puick up a HUGE can of cheap spraypaint, so i can at least do some more painting. might do some pics of that.
