You just totally made my day! I just finished up the version seen in the "patrol" commercial, but I know what I'm building next (now that I have most of the suit anyways).
Where are you finding these? And do you have any more of the marines? I'd love to see some more.

To add to that, Ghosts of Onyx takes place, mostly, concurrently with Halo 2 and 3, which are set after the Fall of Reach.
Basically, you just got splaser'd.
Actually it was between halo 1 and halo 2, reach was still being destroyed.

The design of the jetpack could have been better. In my opinion, it just looked too goofy.

As I recall, Halsey got off Reach just prior to Halo 2, when John and Cortana returned, then went through the Shield World portal on Onyx with Kelly, Tom, and Lucy (Was there a 4th Spartan? I can't remember) at some point later - presumably quite a bit later - due to distance and slipspace only being so fast.
At the very least, it ended during Halo 2 or 3.
EDIT:
And, Scrub, I agree witcha. It was rushed. Had they given the scene more than 4 seconds, they could have made a much better-looking effect.

I think everything was well done, and that includes the jetpack scene. I agree that it was a little goofy in execution, but maybe jetpacks are graceful 500 years in the future. And like always in LAT's, the armor is well done, especially Noble Six's.
Also, is this trailer made by Legacy Effects?

Funny how they made new helmets but didnt try and match the armor to reach troopers. And the fact they went with marpat instead of the ACu type they used for the new figures.

alright i would take the ownage except...everyone got owned lol. I have 4 books on order. However as I was lead to believe that the fall of reach happened basically in like ...a couple days? And I thought ONYX happened a couple months later and I thought that was Gamma's first mission(when DID they graduate?)...so anyone want to fill in the timeline of actual spartans on REACH. thanks.
