So like im a big newbie to this whole creating items, i printed it out but how am i sopposed to know where the other number to match is? Like please help and stuff so i can build my first recon helmet :D

ex 39 where do i find the other 39?

uh the page didnt really teach me anything about pepakura. Im sorry to bug you but is there like a link for a step by step tut on this site? I went to creation for help but all there was was people showing off their items. again sorry for being a annoyance but I hope somehow i can repay you.

YES I know everything what to do!! the only thing i cant do is match all the damn numbers!!! is there a technique on finding where the numbers are!!! Thats srlsly all i need to know! Im confused with all this paper printed out! Is all the stuff i need to work on all on the same page or do i have to search for it??? This is gonna be my last post or im just going to like give up and stuff.

My apologizes for my stupidity.

Methods:

1. Look for the other number as if looking at a giant jigsaw puzzle.
2. Keep Pep Designer open and select "2D Menu" > "Edit Mode" > "Check Correspondence between 2D and 3D". Click "Clear" in the window that appears. Now selecting parts in either the left or right pane will enable to to determine what piece is adjacent to it and what page it's printed on. Look for the numbers as if it were a giant jigsaw puzzle.

While you may "YES I know everything what to do!! the only thing i cant do is match all the damn numbers!!! " it strikes me that if you couldn't puzzle out or find the answer to this very basic problem, you may want to research some more. I would recommend you start by:

You may find that the viewer (free from Tamasoft http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/) is easier to use while building. In the viewer, when you click on the 3D view (left side of the screen), It shows you which piece it is in the 2D (sheets of paper) view. If you hover over a tab in the 2D view (right side) it shows you the corresponding tab. When I print my pieces, I put the page number on every piece to make it easier to get from the viewer to the actual piece I need.
Summary:
Use the designer to scale and rearrange pieces if needed. Use the viewer as an aid to building.

Finally, if you are new to this, you should consider signing up for a mentor (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/30138-405th-Mentor-Programme-2.0?highlight=mentor). There are experienced members who would be happy to help you with your project.

The Designer has that function as well, you just have to activate it first. It's called "Check corresponding face".

Basically, there is nothing the Viewer can do that the Designer can't.

True enough. I find it easier to use the viewer since it comes up that way and it doesn't put that big list up on my small screen. Really that's all it does, right? Except zoom and rotate.

yeah. i use viewer during building, and just use designer for unfolding and scaling.

though i recomend reading the stickys. i spent a few months hovering about reading everything, and i mean everything. it can be really useful. and also bookmark pages you find interesting. you will NEVER be able to find a page again, its soo difficult, and it will save you time.
