Ny Comic Con

I wanted to know if anyone is going to New York Comic Con in February. It is just like the one in San Diego but on a lower key. It is so great. Last year there was a statue of MC. If anyone is going I will probably be the only one in gears armor.

I wish i could go, but living in Australia and all.... Ill be going to san-deigo comic con in 2010, assuming it doesn't clash with the world cosplay summit.

nice. ill be there saturday for sure. maybe sunday but i doubt it cause my parents probably dont feel like driving me twice, i cant afford the bus, and my sister wont be able to let me stay at her apartment. but im positive about saturday.

oh cool. I love saturday at the con. It has the best turn-out. I can't wait. Yeah I'm gonna stay at my brothers dorm since i live in jersey. lol. If it makes you feel any better sunday is kids day, and not much goes on. But ill go on sunday anyway

yea thats why i picked saturday, i figured its the most popular day.
i live in jersey too, originally i was going to ride the bus in my armor, and stay at my sisters place so i could go to saturday and sunday, but my parents offered to buy a saturday ticket and drive me, so i went with it.
its a bit of a consolation knowing that sunday is kiddie day, im a little old for that...
but is there anyone else going to this? i think itd be pretty cool to have a spartan photo shoot.

Not really an old topic as its still pertinent to the conversation with updated information:

I just got back finally today. It was a great con and definitely NOT low-key whatsoever. The place was packed to the fullest! On saturday i saw rachciav in armor. Sweet job dude and it was the only Master Chief I saw besides the garbage Rubies had in their booth

I went, and it was amazing! I tink I took a picre with rachciav. It think I took a picture with you rachciav near theStarbucks dnby the coat check. I was a StormTrooper. I will ad the pictures later.

really? i didnt even realize other people from the 405th were there, i did talk to someone who said they were from here..but i cant remember their name was it you. and yea sadly i was the only spartan but i did get alot of pictures from it and hugs lol.

I was the guy who stopped you twice, once on the line, and then later i saw you in the mess of people in front of the entrance and i stopped you again to double check and make sure i had your name right to give you props.

I was there this weekend also, only Friday for pro hours and SAturday, there were a LOT more people there this year

The number being thrown around now is 77,000 attendees; that's up from 67,000 last year. With Saturday and weekend passes selling out I don't know how much bigger it can get... it was certainly much much more crowded this year.

I didn't see anyone in Halo costume, though I did see a lot of kids who managed to talk their parents into buying them the MC helmet from the Rubies booth.

And SKG thanks again for dinner with us, we all had a great time!

Yeah they stuck us 501st guys up in the freaking "galleria." We had the worst spot we have had in years at the con but we still had a lot of fun especially for kids day (sunday) when they all came upstairs and saw us. It was so packed that we could barely get any troopers out on the floor. One would think that due to the economy, there would have been less people... As it is did anyone notice the lack of booths? Sideshow: gone, Gentle Giant: MIA, Kotobukiya: nowhere. Quite a few big names didn't make it to the con and im surprised. But then look who did show up: Konami, Activision, THQ, Neversoft and several other big names in gaming developers.
