ODST armor before the FinnCon 2011 in Finland begins; will I make it? ;D

Hi, this is the first time I'm having a project of mine posted here at 405th. For shits and giggles I chose to begin with an ODST armor My plan is to have it ready before the 15th July, which is the date when FinnCon 2011 starts.

I've made some props before (actually one only atm, a keyblade from Kingdom Hearts, and another keyblade is on the making) but nothing like an armor.
So this will be an intresting experience x3 Been reading troughout the forum for a long time and got a pretty clear idea of what to do and how, but I'll be updating the process (slowly probably because I don't have any safe room for any fiberglass, resin or body filler.. <.<)

I started with the helmet and I've got the top right half of the helmet pepped (a bit less though ) Here's some pics:

Haha Laugh at my small crappy "workstation"!! xD 1m*0,4m of workspace is kinda troublesome.. lol.. Easy to pep though having the pc beside ^^

Eeh.. Almost forgot to give credits.. Helmet file by Rundown *humble bow* Got the file from the file-pack containing almost all (?) (best??) .pdo files in 405th. Don't know who unfolded the file, maybe Rundown. Gotta find out.

haha, glad Im not the only one starting with a dead line, I have until June to finish mine, and Im doing the helmet last as a just in case, last one done with their armor is a rotten egg =P

A full suit with dedication should take about five months. But never forgot to take your time, because you want the best quality. And it looks like you're off to a good start.

Yeah, I know it will take a long time to get it ready. I just don't have any room where I could put resin or body filler on my armor ^^' The only place is the balcony (I don't have a garage) and it's still bloody cold outside (about 0 celsius) xD But it's a bit warmer than a week ago. I know the cold will affect negatively to the resins curing time, so I'm in a bit trouble here.. I must wait so long when I get to that stage of the build.. <.<

UPDATE:
BACKSTEP!! DD: Spent 9h for the helmet and now I noticed that the helmet is too small xD

I used the original scale from this pep pack
(5) 405th Pep Pack.zip
So how much would you think I should increase the size? I'd say 1.25*"original size" would be enough.

The normal height for helmets is 29-30cm high.

The height of mine is 280mm, I'm 1,75m tall (5' 8") and it fits perfect. Go from there to make your maths.

Okay, well mine should be 264mm high. The scale is originally 493.527342, so when I make it 100, it's gonna be 53mm xD Great file though I'll check the size I should have later. To school I go >:3 Next update during friday (maybe.. ^^').

Hey, hi, and I'm back! Now with some progress with real size helmet >:3 Haven't got as much as with the the one that was too small, but I had some other things going on. Anyways.. This weekend I haven't got that much time either (because I've got to read a book of one of Finlands old presidents).
Here's some pics of my progress:

You can see the difference between the two sizes pretty much, even though I haven't pepped the right side of the helmets top.

Hi all!!
Sorry for not having any updates for some time, but I've had many school projects going on. :/
I'm also gonna have a 2 week long test week with all those math, history, physics and all; so there'll be no more updates until it's finished (which will last from 2nd to 9th February).
Sorry!! DD: I really am.. I'd really like to get it ready ASAP, but I'd decided to give my best on the tests ('cause I've had some BAD results before.. <.<)

So it's sunday and I've got the actual-sized helmet ready pepped. It's a lot smoother too thanks to some advise in these forums (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/29855-ODST-for-my-kids-WIP/page4 second quote of post #34 and down).
