the only thing i have close to the Zeta is the RX-78 Mk2. I dont have the money to go out and buy that model kit right now. but at the next convention i go to I'll pick one up. I will have to take pix of what I have at a later date for you to choose from if you wish. Could do some digging for referend shots aswell.

I would love to get my hands on a zeta model

Have you looked on Google Sketch Up's 3d warehouse? If it is up there I can convert it to 3DS format which you would actually be able to work with. Just be sure to give credit to the modeler who created the original and such.

Here are a few of the RX-79[G] 3DS files. The model was created by masao (original: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=e9c7c150d0361728f8541f4cf243e31&prevstart=0). If anyone is willing to take a shot at cleaning these up please just let me know what you are starting on. I am currently trying to fix up the head.

Ground Gundam Head: http://www.4shared.com/file/QJ9nrHHI/Ground_Gundam_Head.html?

Ground Gundam Upper Torso: http://www.4shared.com/file/WGkvHuJw/Ground_Gundam_Upper_Torso.html?

If you could get those into pepakura alot of people including myself would be happy. Right now I'm using the RX-78 2 files and trying to convert it to make a rx-79 in the paper folding phase. Have to then find a way to convert your 3ds files into a pc/mac to work further in unfolding.

3DS files can be imported into Blender (which is free). I am currently using it clean up the head file for pep. Its close, but there are still some lines that are red in pep, meaning they aren't connected correctly. Also, in order to load it in, I have had to strip away some of the finer details (some of the details on the head arc, the grates that are on the sides)

ZakuAce Starting your helmet design in one week (Ground Gundam Head) I've listed you and your 405th link (here) on my FB build page.

Once I have enuff done I'll post some up on the 405th.
Do you want me to post a finished pic here for you when I get that far?

Thank you once again for such a awesome file and all your hard work to make it.:D

Since I finally got my hands on a key for PD3. I'll try help by doing the Torso. It'll take me forever to get used to blender. Unfolding is the easy part for me. Getting it to 4share will have a bigger challange for me.

Glad to hear you want to build it, if you give me another day or two I should have a 3DS file that is actually ready for unfold. Just has a few breaks left. I took out a few of the finer details to make the pep easier as well.

EDIT: So by a couple of days I guess I meant a couple of hours. PDO file ready for unfold below.
Ground Gundam Head PDO: http://www.4shared.com/file/C7sStTWI/Ground_Gundam_Head.html?

Just to be clear the model was created by masao (original: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...31&prevstart=0). I just split his model apart into manageable pieces

I'm doing the Gundam MSN-06S Sinaju Modified file. :) Just the Doing the helmet for now, then the whole suit later.
EDIT: We did a overhaul on the helmet, I'll post that up after the Charity event for everyone.:cool

Went a head and unfolded the RX-78(G) Head. http://www.4shared.com/file/1uEKbEdU/ground_gundam_head.html
I did not organize the layout, i was tired and got it done quikly. I did notice some imperfection on the back left of the head near the large circle part and fixed it in PepD. along with someothers i saw.

Here is the Dykyrios Head. http://www.4shared.com/file/E79Ha2YT/dykyrios_unfolded_by_BlertZ.html

This one was also posted in the other gundam thread, but the name was never called out. http://www.4shared.com/file/t27o8e-C/Unknown_Gundam_Head_Unfolded_b.html

Thanks man, it looks good. I went ahead and finished my unfold for practice, if anyone wants it let me know and I will post it.

Thorn, good luck with the Sinanju. I had built the better part of the head a while back and it wasn't too bad, just be ware that there is a break that you will have to make your own tabs for in order to connect. It runs around the topsih part if I remember correctly.

I got some spk's of the GN-002 units. Im looking for zeta. I'll be converting them soon. XD sorry iv'e been bust with assassin creed cosplay.

Ok, so I started the build of the RX-79[G] head. At 290 mm height it is looking like it will be a little small, I am going to finish it out just so I know how small and then try round two, not sure if I will get that finished this weekend or not.

I am also working on the Shoulder model (cleaning up, not creating, see my other posts for credit to modeler). Its not bad but has a lot of double edges and such so may take a bit

@AI Blue Fox: I have not seen anything from Gundam Wing, if you have the right software and time you may be able to pull a file from the SketchUp 3D warehouse (free models made public). That is what we have been doing with the RX-79[G]. You just need software that can convert the sketchup file into 3DS or some other more workable format.

I did one of the heads that i unfolded recently. I scaled it just right at 390, and my normal helment go 290. The reason I bumped it up 100 is the V and the mowhawk parts.

Awesome BlertZ! You are the man! I will have the back pack files ready sometime this week.

Edit: Here are the back pack pieces:

No rush Blertz, I know people are busy with stuff outside of 405th. And I don't mind doing my own unfolding if I get to a part I am ready to print and its not done yet. As for scale, I think the Upper Torso would probably be around 30 cm in height (maybe more, but ppl are going to resize it anyway) and the lower torso could be around 15-20 cm. Appreciate your help dude.

And here is a question for anyone who uses pepakura. I am trying to get the hip plate into pep, but everytime I try to load it, the file loading box pops up, goes to 99% then freezes. This is the only piece so far that has done this and I don't know how to fix it. If anyone has run into this please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks again Blertz, you are the unfold master!

But I apparently have too much time this week, cause here is the lower torso ready for unfold.
Edit: Just finished the Cog piece and Butt plate, put them into one PDO so they would be scaled the same.

Alright, its been a while, again, but I am still chugging away. I have the helmet pepped, worked it at 31 cm and it fits very snug. I am going to have to cut the face mask off and create a way to attach it to get it on and off, but I don't like blowing up the head to pull it over because the scaling just goes to heel compared to everything else. (Sorry I don't have a pic atm, I will try and post one next week)

I am getting ready to print out the shoulder (probably next week). I estimate that pep should take about a week, it looks like it will pretty straight forward.

Below is the file for the upper torso, ready for unfold. Its a little rough, but its the best I could get it with my limited knowledge of Blender. The point is it should assemble just fine with just a little bit of creativity from whomever is putting it together. I removed the plates from the box on the right side of the chest. It will be way easier to cut some 1/8" plastic and glue them in. For some reason that entire box, the cockpit cover, and some of the round parts were separate parts within the model and I couldn't figure out how to make them into one mesh, so they are all disconnected.

Nice!!! Would you mind sharing some of those files? I would love to take a swing at them, but have been unable to find files from that source. Do they have 08th MS Team suits? Or Zeta?...

Awesome, I recently had some friends who wanted to join my gundam cosplay en-devour so I am passing on the Sinanju for now. I am starting some work on the RX-79[G], from a sketch up model (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...31&prevstart=0...

Hello everyone,
Sorry I have been offline a while, but I come with an early Christmas present. In the link below you will find a complete MSN 06 Sinanju PDO rar file. It has you covered from head to toe. I did not include the fuel tanks on the back because they were huge cylinders and it would honestly be far better to one off them out of some model rocket tubes than to pep them. Weapons also aren't included yet, but I plan on messing with those eventually. Trust me though, there are plenty of file to go through before you need the weapons. Also note that I have made these for 11x17 cardstock. That is a size that I have access to print to for about another week so that is what I made. Doing 8x11 or even A4 with these files is tough because of how huge the pieces are. I tried to maintain the scale as best possible with the files but because human proportions don't match those of mobile suits it isn't perfect. I sized the suit for my 5'11" height (average frame) using 1.2' stilts in the lower legs and my hands only reaching the wrists (hands in the costume would be non-movable). Again this was to attempt to maintain scale.

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, I honestly don't know when I will have time to start building this but I plan on printing all of it in the next week before I can't use 11x17 cardstock
