Reach ODST 3.0

Unsure if this still goes here or in the other page, but here goes. Anyways, I've been working on my foam ODST(1 and 2) for the past 2 summers, but this year I decided that I would get a printer and 3d print armor this time. I've been planning this costume for the past month or so, but only recently have I gotten home and been able to start working on it. The goal is to have at least the essentials ready for anime expo(only a month away!) since I can still use foam parts if needed, and to have everything ready for the San Diego Comic Con photoshoot.

I'm also going to try and put electronics in the helmet this time. It was bearable last summer, but having fans and a mic would be a huge QOL upgrade. I purchased a used Neptune 4 plus from ELEGOO, and after a week or two of issues they sent me a new motherboard and I have finally begun printing armor. I'm using all of the Reach ODST 3d Files from titlewavedesigns, and scaling in armorsmith. I'm also gonna attempt resin printing the visor this time with ABS like 3.0+.

I've printed the first piece of armor, and while I'm sure there's tons of room for improvement, I'm pretty happy with it so far!

Welcome to the world of 3D printing! It can be awesome! It can also be your worst nightmare lol thankfully now you can find guides online for just about anything!

Foam can be more comfortable in certain areas like thighs and pinch points, so have that knowledge and parts is definitely good!
