Hey all!!
So my deadline is quickly approaching (Calgary Expo) so definitely not stressing but I wanted to post an update before working too far into it! I've done some of the build just out of foam, EVA from like walmart and I believe a 3mm or 4mm thick foam and it's not the worrrrst it could be lol. So far I've got my forearms, biceps and shoulder guards set and done out of foam, just need to paint. I've started already with a silver undercoat, before topping with gunmetal and purple Everything, except the helmet and hand armour will be foam, why I didn't do the hand armour in foam, idk lol. super inspire by a lot of the other builds on here and that I've seen in person.
I ordered my helmet from Velvizir on Etsy (they have some really cool helmets) and made my hand armour on my 3d printer. Next up are the shins! I have to repaint the helmet though, I don't think I let the paint properly dry before masking and applying another colour and it kinda tore away the bottom layer of paint, but it okay!
Will continue to update when I get more done but it's a sporadic project. This is my first build so it's a bit rough but id love to learn and hear tips and good practices
Oki thanks for reading my ted talks lol
