Hey guys,
I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find any answers to it.

I've been working for the past 2 weeks on my very first Recon Helmet (yes I haz recon). And I'm a bit confused.

I've done everything except final paint and putting padding/fan inside. Now, I know the thing has a visor, but I don't know where to get one!
Do I get a normal sized one and cut it in half or is there a better way to get one? I know I can make one out of plexi glass and a heat gun (I've done it before for different projects)?

Any help would be great, keep up the great work guys!

Most people here would probably opt for the motor cycle helmet visor. That way it's already gold, or whatever color they want it to be. The motor cycle visors are nice too because they tend to be thinner and allow for easier double-visor build. A regular-sized motor cycle helmet visor should get you enough plastic for two layers on the recon helmet.

I agree with torsoboy!

But there are cheaper alternatives available! I believe bigred found a real cheap route!
