Haha yeah well Idk what to do yet on my new wall mount but thanks for the smexy word to describe but how about "epic smexy"![]()

Well I did get around to painting my chest![]()
Though I can't finish my forearms since my sister stole my glue gun. But I'll get it up tomorrow when I glue on the floating details.
I used a different gray from what I used on my helmet. Though there isn't much a of difference except up close and the glossy effect of my helmet.
NOW, I need some of your guy's input on to how to put on this chest. I don't know if I wanna use straps and cut in clean in half like Poopers. So give me any ideas you guys got![]()

BOLD # 1: Yeah... "epic smexy" definately works too :D
BOLD # 2: And a fine job you did on it, too! The black accents really "pop" on it, imho. Personally, I can't tell a difference between the greys you used. Are you planning on adding further accents on it (ie. Mk VI stencil and strip on the thigh)? :unsure

SoullessSin said:I am not sure if I can work on anything tomorrow since I have a date. Yesss a date guys. It'll take a whole day for me which is torture. Btw it's a girl![]()

Not when we got a crap load![]()
EDIT:
Didn't get a lot done today since I had to take my car in to get a smog check. The paper says it's ancient but damn this car pwns all![]()
I started by bondoing my front boot thingy. I tried to aim for the round shape from the 12" Chief and it looks like I got it. I really didn't like the boxy and angular shape.
Then since I had change my whole paint scheme of the suit, I sanded down most of the paint on my ab plate. Now I gotta figure out how I am gonna put it on.
I resined my crotch plate. And I must say that it's a bitch to resin it. I have to be very careful so it won't warp like last time.
I thought I figure that I do my forearm floating details so I had it all masked out and ready for bondo. I guess my own bondo work doesn't like me since the whole thing just came off. I'll try it again since I sanded off the pain on the forearm. I think that's the problem but I knew for a fact that It adhered to paint but oh well.

BOLD # 1: That "front boot thingy", as you so eloquently put it, is actually known as a "toe cap", lol. Looking real good, though. I agree with the boxy and angular shape of it. I don't like it much either, so I'll be doing the same as you.
BOLD # 2: For the ab plate, I take it you're applying the new grey paint to it, to match what you used for the chest piece? As for how to attach it, I've heard some members epoxying a hinge of some sort in place, to allow it to move a little with your body as you move and bend.
BOLD # 3: Personally, I think you did a fine job with those scratch-built support struts in the top of it. Should greatly reduce the risk of any warping, imho. Does the COD piece model come with support struts? I haven't gotten to that point with my build, so I wouldn't know. If it does, though, maybe you could insert those as well to further reinforce it during the resining/fiberglassing process. Just an idea, anyway.
BOLD # 4: Whaa--? :eek Soulless has a DATE? Well, good on you, buddy! Hope you have a good time. Me and the gf are still doing much of the same, as we're only a little four months into the relationship. We tend to keep things very low-key, lol :D

*Haha It doesn't matter what I call it. I have pics of the front boot thingy
So right now, the TOE CAP is ready for priming and painting.
*Epoxy and hinge system? I was thinking more like drilling holes and zip ties![]()
*The cod piece does come with support struts but they suck as far as cardstock can go.
So I used it as a template for cutting out cardboard and all the cardboard you see, is where the cardstock struts go.
So not much more reinforcement I can do.
*Haha I see well lucky for me,, SHE WON"T GET UP
$%^&$#&%$^$#&@@#$
Oh well I'll be working on my cod![]()
