alright guys and gals, i have decided to take a SHORT break from my ODST and tackle a new helmet. i got this done today, and i plan on resining and rondoing soon. a big shout out to sachmo III for the fantastic model, it is a really simple helmet to build.

thank you everyone! i got some more work done today, rondoing the inside, and starting some fiberglass work. i'll probably be rondoing the inside again after, and then starting work on the outside of the helmet... OH GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE

i got a lot of work done today for only working 2-4 hours... i haven't been working on this lots because of school finals, but now i just have a last examination tomorrow, so i'll be getting a lot more work done soon...

Great job so far! This is the first time I've actually looked at this helmet (I've seen it in Satchmo's thread before, but never paid it any attention) and it's freakin beautiful. I may have to take a stab at it myself some day.

Any plans on the visor yet?

thank you! i'm currently building a vaccum forming table so i can get the massive visor, and will probably be molding a visor for my ODST as well. after the vaccum forming, i will be following redshirt's tutorial on painting visors. i will be getting this helmet as close as possible to in movie detail, even the little black lines on the visor. i do plan on molding it, and including a vaccuformed visor with the helm
