LMAO!

I will admit there's still always a slight sense of apprehension/anticipation when in a situation like that, wondering just what the girl's reply will be. I still get that feeling at times like that, but I wouldn't say I feel frightened or worrisome.

Like you said, "ahh, what the hell, what's the worst that could happen?!". And you know, despite my extensive knowledge of the English language, for the life of me I can't think of the word you're looking for, either! LOL

Confidence is definately a big part of the equation, that's for sure. If you approach a person with the intent of asking them out, you have to have a subliminal sense of confidence. It's in the way you carry yourself when walking down the street, the way you conduct yourself when conversing, or look around at people and things.

If you exude a subtle confidence, people pick up on that on a subconscious level, and are often drawn to that kind of character. Same goes for a woman. If she can sense you have confidence in yourself and your actions, the hard part's already done.

The only thing left to do is walk up to her and say "Hi". If you manage to get past that point (and you have), it's pretty straightforward from there... :)
