tinting

I was wondering if anyone has tinted a visor for a helmet themselves. I was looking at building the E.V.A helmet, and since i have to make a custom visor for it i would need to tint it gold, but havn't been able to find any supplies.

There's a great tutorial written by Redshirt on how to do that called "Tutorial: Make & Paint Your Own See-through Visor. It's a sticky in the Creation Discussion section so it's very easy to find.

I like the idea of tinting it better seems like it would look better and be easier to see though...

hmm, you could use yellow Rit dye, but it wouldnt be solid gold =/

all you do is follow the instruction on the packet, and just dip it in for 5-10 seconds so the plastic doesnt deform from the hot water, plunge again and then wash with water, then keep doing it till you're happy with it
