I am good friends with a person who builds custom aircrafts and he has the ability and connections for me to send my Mark VI fiberglass helmet to a custom metal shop where they can take my helmet, make sand molds, and create solid titanium or aluminum casts. He figured that after costs and the amount of work involved, the lowest I could sell them is for around $200 unpainted. Titanium or aluminum would be best for lightness and strength. I was wondering how many of you personally would be interested in purchasing one or if you think if it would be worth it for me to sell them on eBay.
I also have the ability to make solid carbon fiber MK VI helmets and was wondering if you guys would think it's worth to make a lot and sell them. One last question: do I need a license or permission from Bungie to sell custom made helmets?
