True, but come on, halloween, cons, costume parties, even if i do got out to, the mall for example, and the cops see me in a scifi armor suit, with a prop, the most the will do is ask, what movie or game am I from or what am I supposed to be, or " Isn't Halloween another 2 months?" Don't worry, most Halo prop weapons have detatchable mags. AR's, DMR's, Snipers, with clips painted as they should be, how wierd would it be to see a guy in a spartan suit, loading a prop gun with a orange or other brightly colored clip. As long as i am not running around shooting people with it and being a disturbance, the cops won't get all anal. Besides i only need one clip, im not going out to a nerf war with it, and the Halo shotty isn't even supposed to have a clip, which is why i want to paint it as part of the gun for a low key clip. Don't worry, i know what I'm doing.

Forgive me my paranoid self, I posted that after reading a post about someone on here getting escorted out of a mall by security guards just for wearing the helmet in the mall. If that's the kind of reaction that can happen just for the helmet, imagine what they would have done because of a prop gun!

Ok, first off i have to say that this project was on pause for a bit thanks to my lazy self and my summer classes, now all i have is drafting at night, 2 days of the week. Now i have gained more steam and well hopefully continue on with steady progress. Allmost done with the chest, just need the bottom part of the back. I will hopefully have it done and "magnitized" by tomorrow night. I love this chest a hell of alot better than my first one. Looks nicer and fits better. Here are pics:

I have also been in the process of hardening my EOD and its pretty sturdy.

I will take apart the shot gun to paint the original recon it self and screw around with the internals abit I will also add more detail to the main body of the weapon and stock.

For colors im gona go with a desert theme kind of like this: Courtesy of RTGCBT.

I will use my Reach emblem that i have been using since day one

Quick Mini-Update

I finished putting together the chest. I will now be working on the collar/breacher attachment and for the "shotgun shells" i will be using nerf darts painted up like shotgun rounds.

Also i will began designing a rig that will have 3 features:
- A (hopefully) functional backpack
-The ability to hold a rifle (DMR, AR, or Sniper; my nerf modded shotty will be to heavy)
-The abillity to hold my helmet (This way if im walking around and get to hot in my helmet, i just take it off and hang it on the pack where its easily accessible instead of holding it)

ya i was asked "please remove your helmet, mall rules state we need to see your face." so i think the cops are just doing there jobs but come on, when will you see a guy in full MJOLNIR running out of the mall with stolen items?

UPDATE!!!!!

So i started painting my helmet. I did primary brown, second gold. It still needs abit of work though. Here are pics.

Im still iffy about how it came out though, maybe the brown was to dark, or the gold was abit off, or maybe the way i set up color pattern isn't 100%. Something seems abit "meh" to me, i don't know. Please let me know what you think about the paint so far. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. I did not use bondo for this and do not plan to.

I also started on a sliced weapon, the DMR. I am also have a pistol printed out and waiting to get started . Here are some pics of the dmr.

Any advice on how to finish it would be great.

NICE JOB MAN!! d >u<!! I've been watching your thread a lot waiting for some progress pics and Nice job so far. And on the whole Meh thing on the helmet, i know how you feel lol. I solved my Meh-ness if you will by adding a third color for accent, I do not know if this will work for you but i have seen the two colors "Gun Metal Gray" And "Black Knight (Or Night i forgot) Metallic" Go really well with brown and with gold and it may be the thing you need. I wish you luck and hope my advice helps. Keep Building 405th RT Out.

It's been a while, this build ended up being scrapped, sadly. I'm now in a University so the amount of resources i have is less then what i had to start with. However i do plan on doing a reboot during my winter break and work on a H4 build, as for now, i plan on working on a helmet during what free time I have and i may start up a new thread sometime in the near future.
