Ya I downloaded just about all the halo books and listened to them at a previous job, but my current one isn't as mind numbing so I can't sit still and listen lol
So far great progress though! can't wait to see it finished!

Your chest is looking good. A suggestion for you that I learned when working with the foam on my son's build. Once you have the parts together, you can shape the edges a little more with a dremel and sanding drum attachment. It can help clean up corners or even help to make the angles you may need from bad cuts or "choppy" cuts as I like to call them. Also, if you have a heat gun, you can go over the seams and try to wipe out some of the excess hot glue if that is what you used. It really is looking good though. I'm rooting for you and your deadline, but like DBMike said. . . . Don't rush yourself.

Keep up the good work.

Oh dang! I wish I had known that earlier, cause those tips sound really useful. I will definitely be using those techniques for new parts

The red color was too solid, and made the armor look cartoony, so I blackwashed it.

Furthermore, I added glow-in-the-dark accents to the torso, the cod piece, and my gloves. I couldn't get pictures of the glow-in-the-dark parts on my commando helmet, but I'll try to get some on the rest of the stuff

Wow! That is some quality work there! I wish I could figure out the whole foam idea but I have kids now and Halo-ween is coming fast so I'm gonna finish my fiber glass one and try foam over the next year. Your has inspired me to try it out.

Thanks DBmike and Thorn! Hey which helmet are you talking about Thorn, cause if it's the commando, I wish not to take full credit, as that one I bought from Blackula. However I did do the paint so I guess I can take some credit ja ja :p if you're talking about my MK VI, okay I'll take credit for that one :D

Thanks Masterchief1977! The whole time I had been worried that foam wasn't my thing, but then I bought a few tools like a heat gun and a hot knife, got used to working with the foam, and now I like using it. I would've built my suit completely of fiberglass, but living in an apartment with no place to work with nasty stuff like resin prevented that. Like you though, my deadline is Halo-ween. So I'm not rushing and being sloppy, but moving as quickly as I can

I totally agree. I'm thinking ill probably do more after Halo-ween and Halo 4 comes out but right now I'm want to get mine done and looking decent enough to wear in public.

For sure, that's all I'm looking for right now is to get it finished enough to show it off.

It looks very awesome man! The only thing I will say and this is just my opinion, you may want to black wash the front red armor. It pops out compared to the helmet and the back which are pretty dark. Either way you'll blow people away with your build!

Looking good. Like what you've done. I agree with Kinggoobero. . . . add some black wash and it would look even better.

Thanks buddy! I actually did blackwash it, I posted two pictures of the front and back. But my thoughts matched yours. I thought the solid color was too...cartoony. Not realistic enough. After the blackwash, it looked much better
