Lol looks like you made a whole lot of progress. Your look for the release was pretty sweet. I was only able to get my helmet done(ish) for the launch. Your vac form visor came out really clean. Really stocked about your teaser trailer. The Drop Pod is looking epic.

Yeah, I'll be making the bottom half eventually. I mainly wanted to finish the top half for the launch of Reach. And senior year of college will put a damper in my updates. But I'll likely jump back into it later in the fall.

thanks! I'll probably have to vac-form another one though, it's kinda hard to see through. We'll definitely be posting progress for our teaser.

yeah some pieces definitely are. especially the shoulders and the chest piece. i would've redone them but i really wanted to finish in time for sept. 14th. i'll probably fix it down the road.

p.s. where in the Twin Cities are you?

Seriously though, im new to this whole pep thing, i have made a assualt rifle spare clip before, but i dont know. I need some easy technique that doesnt involve cardstock. Got any suggestions? Pm me if so.

cardstock is the easiest thing you can make it with unless if you think flexfoam is easier

No worries, I like to balance my time between school and Halo, haha.

The first thing I did was get a $20 rib protector from walmart.

I hot glued heavy duty velcro to both the rib protector and the stomach pieces:

When putting on the armor, I start with a black turtle-neck then the rib protector followed by all my armor pieces. The stomach pieces go on last by simply attaching it to the velcro already glued to the rib protector.

But i got another one now haha- Do you think this would work with just a normal shirt rather than it being mandatory to use some type of vest/jacket/rib protector?

I wouldn't say it's mandatory, but it makes it much more functional. For example, my black turtle neck which I wear underneath isn't skin tight. If I attached pieces to that, it would be pretty loose. Also I would imagine it'd be quite uncomfortable.

mmm ya know...that makes good sense. I'm not gonna say i like it but, it DOES make sense...i guess i'll just have to go iron man/wolverine/spartan and inject myself with tough metals and then screw it into my bone structure...seriously. HAHAHAHA but thanks! i'll see if they have one next time i go to wally mart

That helmet looks great. I think that will e my next project after i perfect a mark VI helmet. I am also familiar with vac forming. They use it that method to make retrofit headlights.

dude I hate to be negative, but your chest/ab plates seem a bit small for you. The chest plate is too small all around and the ab plates don't give full coverage of the area that they should. Just an observation.

Yeah I'd have to agree with you. For my first build, I'm pretty happy with it. The scale of the chest pieces were giving me some grief and I pepped several versions of it. Eventually I just decided to move on, despite it not being perfect. If I end up doing another suit I'll have a much better idea of proportions.
