This thread is to document progress on my weapons/ and props as well as improvments to my armor. enjoy

so here's what i had at NYCC13, it was great armor fared very well, was pretty comfortable to wear, and i didnt have any fails thur the con, or the halloween season after. There were a few things i wanted to improve on. MAke more accurate and just all around add more detail.

starting with the arms, theres too much of a gap (to much arm exposure not enough armor) between the arm pieces. my solutions is too remkae the forearms, abd modify the biceps. secondly the troso ab plate section needs to be better, so that had to be remade. then while is was on torso i added the combat knife and the neck collar. the Cod will recive some mods as well as the helmet. all i do time. as for the legs, i think they are prefect i just need to add the utility pouch to it(which is WIP ATM).

so hear we have the torso all done up.

i tried all this on last night to see the difference and it looks way better already, now to just keep going. and i need my magnics to come in so i can finsh the dmr and mod to the back. happy building all.

ok so today was spent on the Cod, modifing it and adding to it. i migght add some more to the middle ab section, im not sure yet. but between what ive done with this and the torso ab plate, everything is looking much nicer all together. ill try to post some fit test pics later this week. heres the new and improved Cod.

ok so i finished the front mid section yesterday.

its fits great and i still have mostly all my mobility still. the front section is part of the Cod and extends up under the torso. the torso holds it against me and when i move and bend it just slides over one another. now time for the spine and remaking the forearms. :cool

Ok so after doing a bunch of work this weekend. I put on the whole suit for a fit test, it looks so much better already, however I did have to lose the front mid section as it became very difficult to wear for a small amount of time, let alone for a long time. I'll figure something else out for the front section. So I finished the right forearm, and am half done with the left. Also remade the right shoulder to be more accurate and sized better. Next up is more detail on the helmet (foamies) and do the spine and leg pouch. Pics tomorrow when(if) I finish te forearm.

Ok back in the sattle after the holiday madness and what have you. so I've been busy between the holidays, shopping, family stuff, winter snow storm (which made work really busy as i work in auto body) and in the time I had left was armor work. So now I'll show you guys and gals what I've got done over the last I don't know, month since i updated this. XD

I finished both bi-ceps and remade the left shoulder.

Also finished both forearms, made them larger and at a better size scale wise. The left forearm has the GPS attachment which doubles as my IPhone holder.(don't have a pic ATM)

Added / changed some details on the back , as well as added high powered magnets that hold my DMR nicely.

and yes the DMR is being held by nothing but the magic of magnets here

My helmet looked like it needed a little something so i added some foamies to it for a bit more detail.

Then lastly made the base for the 'tactical soft case". now I went back and added a few more details to the buckle like ends of the base pad, i dont have pics of that ATM. however the cloth case is sewn together, all I have to do is add the buckles and straps to to it. keep wacthing for pics on that later.

oh and heres a few random pics during one of my fit tests, I had to get a few pics with my new RT grifball plushie XD

So at this point all I have to do is plasti-dip most of the pieces and repaint everything. The color shceme will be the same however there will be more detail in the paint job and better weathering.Also I will be adding a few "custom" things with the paint job too. So thats all I have for now, qeustions and comments welcome. and as always happy building all.:cool

Ok no pics today, however one advantage to working in a big suit body shop is on my break I can plasti dip parts. Which I'm doing now. Also the fact I can get the spray paint I'm gonna use at a much cheaper price. Hoping to get some paint tests done this weekend. And start re-paintin the whole suit with better detail and weathering this month.

ok updates!!!!!
well not much except for a few things as with it being winter i dont have a heated outside place to paint. I did bring a few things to work (i work in a big auto repair shop) to plasti-dip in my free time. also i built a Reach pistol .

sorry for the crappy cell pics but they'll have to do for now.
fit test all together, I am much more plaesed with the proportions and sizing.

and finished my soft case. i still need to sliver the buckles some and black wash the pouch to make it looks dirty but that will be later.

thats all for now, next thing is painting, if i can get a nice day of warmer weather >.<

ok its 40 degrees, warm enough to spary outside then bring stuff in to dry. so i've got some paint on some pieces, and if its this warm tomorrow i'll get more done.so with any luck i'll have some pics up tomorrow night. ^.^

Wow, this build is awesome. I really like how you've weathered everything with the paint. I also REALLY like that DMR. I have one question about that actually, how much does that DMR weigh and what kind of magnets did you use? I really want to implement that into my armor with my assault rifle, and I wanna figure out if I need to make a new ultra-light version or not.
