Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Looking great! I do have a question, how are you going to cover your mouth? Are you going to paint a balaclava to look like the inner parts of the elite's mouth?

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Oh damn, I can't wait to see more progress and them some first photos of everything together :D

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Very nice! That makes me want hurry and get started on my printer. Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Elite Feet with paint smalll .jpg

Feet are all glassed and are super strong!

Chest glass is half done.
Once you get used to BIG feet is not soo bad to walk in.

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Hah ! A lot of backlog reading, and this one was like "wow cool" to "want to see more" to "snif, scraped" to "yey, revivied". :)

I think that the main thing why I like this forum so much is because a lot of people (all ?) do not really care about "stuff being canon" and people getting all kinds of crap "because a screw that was depicted as a torq screw was a philips screw in the movie" like on some other forums I visited when I had to make a choice which Cosplay to pick.

On this forum, it's more like "just make it look good man !". Which is the main reason why I went with this forum and not another. That and I never liked "the force" as Deus Ex Machina. :)

Awesome build. Standing in line to see more. :D

So far the plan is black makeup.. I may need to re make the lid with the part 4 inched forward to give more depth..

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

WORT WORT!
Ive got half the shoulders done.. ( I need to mirror the parts and just hit print.)
Boots are Good enough to really stomp around in!. OH they feel good!

Chest is done with paint and glassed where needed.

Whats left to print. haft the thighs, Shins and helmet .

Great looking! I'm jealous, I have to put my printer build on hold for a couple months, it's my slow season.:( Once I get rolling on it again I hope I can pick your brain on a couple of things. Your print work is beautiful.

You're having WAY too much fun with this stuff. Is that even legal ? Shame on you. :D
Seriously, your work looks fab. Too many builds on this forum hurt my eyes just because how totally bad*ss they are.
This is just one of them. *searching frantically for nope-button*

Just out of curiosity, what printer where you looking at to build ?

Just out of curiosity, what printer where you looking at to build ?[/QUOTE]

Not trying to muddy up a post, but the printer that I am building will be a custom build. I have researched several different ffd printers for design ideas and build ideas. I will be using a fastbot bbp1 controller, 2 direct drive j-heads, and some nema 23 steppers. That's just the start of it. It will be 700mm cubed. Yes I know that that is big and it will take forever to print something, but like I told Peter, I don't plan on printing 700mm cubic legos! :D The big print volume is only a "If I need to" kind of thing. But when I get closer to starting it I will start a post on it. Thanks for asking.

And keep up the good work Peter

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Not trying to muddy up a post, but the printer ... 700 cubic mm
You call that big ? I'd call it humongous. I'm looking forward to that. At that size, I gather your're going for a custom build steel frame ?

Sorry for going off-topic Peter, won't happen again. :)

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.

Re: Wort! Blarg! Honk! 3D printing a Covi Elite.
