2008 Camaro Concept

Hey everyone. I've made some significant progress on my bumblebee costume this weekend so I thought I'd share some pictures. I'm aiming to have it finished for the movie premier. Went last year as a transforming Optimus Prime and had a blast. The costume will be fully transformable when it's finished. It's based on the 2008 concept Camaro as opposed to bumblebee's new design based on the production model of the Camaro. I just don't like the front of the production model as much as the concept. All the parts have been modelled myself based on how the toy transforms. Hopefully I can get it all done in time!

All I can say is SWEET!! I bet that took alot of paper because bumblebee has alot of detailed parts.

i think bumblebee is one of the best transformers, second only to starscream because F-22s are awesome and barricade because Mustangs are freakin beasts (woulda been better is he was a shelby though, they are sexy beasts

k, now that i got the whole fan boy rant outa the way.....looks really good especially since your scratch building it all, hope to see it done, do ya plan to have a windshield of some kind in the suit? might be hard to do, but awesome as hell

Yeah all that cutting has been doing some damage to my fingers, have some nice callus's developing. I also think I may have pulled my finger muscle, gotta be a first LOL!

Yeah I've gone through quite a few sheets so far. I've been trying to maximize the amount of space I use but with some of the pieces it's been tough.

Thanks dude, barricade while not a shelby was a saleen which are pretty sweet machines. I was pretty tempted to get the mustang after the movie came out but have been holding out for the Camaro. Funny thing about the windshield, while I have it modelled as a solid piece, I hadn't thought about the actual construction in the costume or what material to use. I'll probably use some kind of plastic with a dark tint on it.

that is wicked! amazing Im a big transformer fan, great job! I'm great at building pep and making the models look good but I wish I could 3d model so I can make whatever I want like you. but yeah I would love to give those files a try if your releseing them I've build optimus from scratch but would love a bubble bee standing next to him in my geek room. let me know
