I’m expecting decals to be arriving from next week. As per screen accuracy. I’m adding

“MK117” in white on the right black portion of the chest plate
A UNSC logo in black on the right side of the chest plate wing.
UNSC in white at the bottom of the chest plate
“BELLA” in white on the name section

here’s a rough edit of what that will look like.

A further addition recently has been the toe caps, which are now fitted to the boots. They’re attached by a 22” strap that runs from the toe cap, round the back of the boot, and attaches to the other side of the toe cap.

Another quick update:

My chest plate cured and is nice and dirty again! Decals are arriving from Monday!

A suit up was in order earlier to asses the progression of the suit. Fixing those two buckles has already made my costume look even better. I mainly wanted to see how i moved. I move about the speed of a stormtrooper, and I’m incredibly noisy about it too. It’s due to the D Rings present on the belt.

I came across a post this morning from Deviss65 on their ODST repaint. And they mentioned that they used a kind of tint spray that gives a mirror effect on the surface sprayed.
I HAD to try this.
So 1 DIY store trip later and I return with Rustoleum Mirrored Effect in a spray can. Dries in ten minutes and I was told to go light. In fact, incredibly light.

I removed my visor (slightly damaging it in the process, but hey, you learn from your mistakes) and got it outside for spraying. While that cured; I came back in to hollow out the vents on my helmet and place some mesh inside them, to allow some airflow.
Here’s my results. Safe to say I’m chuffed.

How's the vision from inside the helmet? I just looked it up and that seems to be a product we can actually get in Australia!

If I may ask, did you spray on the inside or the outside of the visor?

I really like how your helmet came out! I want to do the same thing, except blue line
