... Ya, go a head and use something that you didn’t describes in anyway. "Textured finish" doesn’t say much. It could be spackle or a can of textured spray paint, or a million other things. Use what ever you want. It’s your armor after all.

It looks to be a type of plaster.. Some have used plaster reasonably well, while other have regretted their choice of materials. It's not a very permanent or professional alternative to resin.. It will chip and crack pretty easily.

ok thanks for the information i have just apllied it to a test hemet (well only the top) and and let it set so i will see how it turns out. If it turns out like a bad idea i will scrap it.
