Yeah they are a little small, but they look way better when they are all the way up by my shoulder.

Some pictures from the last couple weeks. Alas, I dropped my helmet at a party and the visor split right in half! It's fixable but I ended up not wearing it to the CEA release.
Plans for the future:
Bigger knee guards
Foam codpiece
Foam shin pieces.
But that won't be a while I"m going on vacation for month. Excited to see what everybody has gotten accomplished when I get back

The chest piece was such a huuuuge improvement. It's making me think twice about making my armor with fibreglass...
And this really helped as I'm making my Reach spartan as well and I've got the CQC, operator shoulders and parafoil chest

As someone who went from building his whole suit from fiberglass, and then moving to foam, I totally back foam all the way. It's way easier to use, much more bendable when you're in it, and actually costs less than all the resin you end up buying. Excited to see your armor!

... i know i'm semi encouraging necro here, but i just couldn't help but say that your build is pretty damn fine. i love the colouring. awesome work. keep it up... shame to hear about your visor too. hope you get it fixed soon...Attachments

Stilus has awoken me from slumber!
A little update...just got a new visor in the mail after the armor has been sitting around for quite some time. Adding in additional battery slots for the fan, and then the helmet is good as new! Also am just about done with 2 new foam bicep pieces. J326, you were right they are a bit small. It's okay though they can be donated to the suit I"m going to be building for my girlfriend eventually. Going to get cracking on some bigger knee guards as well. And I think it's finally time to get that datapad hooked up! I didn't install it for halloween. I'll have some pics soon once the new pieces are done and painted!

Some updates on the rebuild:
Secured a magnet for my magnum so it can sit at my side and I can pull it on and off with ease:
I'm going to be revamping the helmet, I have to fix a big crack that happened in October, and I'm probably just going to fix all the little imperfections that I overlooked on the first go.
Oh, and my girlfriend found this picture on facebook. I do not know any of these girls haha.

No pictures today...but I'm refinishing the helmet. After looking at some of the foam builds people have been up to, I've realized I have to step my game up and stop half-assing pieces.
On another note, I bought materials for something special...I'll have pictures up in a week or so.
