ans how the heck do you manage to do this parts,like the round details on the torso,i totally screw that stuff up.

I've never seen anyone able to move well enough to be able to perform any sort of martial arts in a spartan suit, that'd be interesting.

You could always do what Ithica didand cast the entire suit in flex foam. =P

Well, I'm not sure if there is anything else I'll be reinforcing as heavily as the torso, but if I have the time, maybe I can set something up.

For the small round parts, I take my time and use a set of modeling tweezers. I work with a lot of small parts when I build architectural models, so I'm pretty used to the small stuff.

I'll take a look at my file tonight and see who it was made by and if it's safe to release it.

Edit: Ok, so here's the thing about the ab plate. It's Xtreme Tactics 101's file, and since he's been raising a lot of fuss about the forums and seemingly rallying members to strike, I won't post a link to it, you'll have to hit him up for it. There are a few members who are unhappy with the way things are being run around here and I'm not about to get into the middle of it.

Actually, the Carter helmet that is on the Official Reach Files thread isn't the one I ended up using. The one that's there is A1TD's newest helmet. I actuall unfolded and pepped his original release (found here:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/24418-Halo-Reach-Carter-Helmet-Final-Release, labeled "R1E15" unfolded by Brandon McClain) before Brandon McClain unfolded it. The difference between the two is minimal, so the one on the Official Reach Files thread is just as good.

And another update. Not armor, but part of the outfit. Juliet76 put out a very nice set of blueprints for various Reach weapons (link here: http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/18541-Juliet76's-Blueprints), including this knife. Tonight, I used those blueprints to model this and brought it into pep, unfolded it and built it. It actually went together a lot easier than I had anticipated...

Here it is next to the sheath I built from foam core...

I considered drawing the blueprint up with the sheath like that to allow for the angled guard on the knife. But as more and more reference material became available it was obvious that Bungie had desgined it to not fit in the sheath all the way leaving some of the blade exposed. So that's how I drew it and I figured whoever built it could mod the sheath to their preference, which you did.

Your build overall looks great so far Carpathiavh99, and I look forward to seeing more.

Yeah, I noticed that too after reviewing the "Birth of a Spartan" video. I may redo it, but only if time allows since it's such a minor part of the costume.

I'm hoping to get a lot of resining done today, so keep an eye out here.
