Heya fellow 405'ers! Long time Watcher first time Poster! Just figured I'd make a thread showing the current projects I'm doing, which are basically making a few helmets for a trial and error basis, before I start an actual suit! Pics to come!

So, here are the two I currently have made, ready for fibreglassing:
    14152269_1295729640451865_209373137_o.jpg

And currently in the process of doing the Molniya Type 2 Helmet, Shaxx Variant:
    14124152_1297271656964330_983075057_o.jpg
(Where I had it last night)
    14203079_1298131420211687_823873018_o.jpg
    (Where it's currently at!)

I plan on doing a full suit of something, but figured in the meantime I'll do some helmets as a fibreglassing experiment! If one fails, there will be another one to start on! If they all work fine, then added bonus! Hope yo guys like it, and there will be plenty more to come!

    EDIT:
Okay, I've hit a bit of a snag here... As I'm building helmets, I'm also trying to get the stls from the Destiny STL Generator PDO ready. I'm in the process of getting The Ram Warlock helmet done, and was going fine until I reached the dilemma of trying to join the skull part of it to the helmet part... Will post a link to the file as it is at the moment, and if anyone wants to give it a look at, go right ahead!

Thanks a bunch Crimmson!! I appreciate it, seeing as it wouldn't be possible without your skills in making these awesome helmets pep ready!! And sure thing, I'll put some more pics of Lord Shaxx up in it's current progress, which is basically 85-90% finished:

It fits surprisingly well!! My ears are resting literally right where the horns attach on the helmet itself! It should probably take me a few more hours to get finished, then onto the Deathsinger's Gaze tomorrow! Just waiting for it the weather to get a little warmer here (it's just coming into Spring now) and then I can move onto Fibreglassing them! Until such time, I'll just continue building helmets!! More progress to come!

Crimmson it was surprisingly easy to pep! It took me maybe 45 minutes to cut it out, fold and glue!

Hahaa, cheers man! When I get in building mode, I try and get pieces pepped as soon as possible! I'm pretty sure in its entirety it only took me about a day or two to get done, and that was with work too! And I don't have an Xbox one anymore as I sold it a few months ago, but one of my room mates is moving out at the end of the month, so I'll be getting a new one then! And I'll definitely be playing Destiny, need to make up for lost time!

Now, onto the currently pepped helmet, the Deathsinger's Gaze!

Now this one was a little difficult, but damn does it look good when it's finished!!

DEATH SINGER'S GAZE, is that the one that I unfolded? Either way, love seeing your collection of pepped helmets! So crisp, and clean!

Yeah, that's the one you unfolded! It was a very good build! And thanks for the praise on the results! Part of the reason I'm also doing this is to improve my building skills as well, and it's always good to see I'm doing good!

Sorry there's no updates at the moment, I've been a little under the weather, so no new helmets, but I did find one I had finished before I started the destiny helmets! Hope you all enjoy!

That's all of them at the moment. Depending on your specific head size, you may need to resize as I have a pretty big head but other than that, happy building!!

    EDIT:

Another helmet hot off the press!! I give you the Dead Light Cover Hunter Helmet, Modelled by Crimmson, Unfolded by yours truly!

Hey Dashlenn, I know its been awhile since anyone posted here, but how well does that Deathsinger helmet fit with the default scale? And if you know, whats your head circumference? Figured it would be easier to ask someone whos already built it than to build yet another helmet that is too small to fit.

Wow, those helmets are beautiful man! Have you fiberglassed and bondo-ed any of them yet?

Hey guys! Sorry I've been away for a while, cancer and depression have been hammering me for the last couple months. But now I'm in remission I'm starting to get back into it! I've got a few that I'm working on at the moment, and will have some more updates in the coming days and weeks!
sorry it's been a while, the deathsinger fits perfectly on my head in the scale that I had it set to, and my head is about 20 cm wide by about the same deep! There's a setting in pepakura where you can change the scale so best bet would be to measure your head and add a cm or two to either side to get an optimal fit! Im not sure if you built it or not, but thats how I've done most of mine!

IMG_4474.JPG Hey guys! As promised, Just showing some recent helmet builds: the Apex Harmonix and the Celestial Nighthawk! The Apex put my cutting folding skills to the test, but I think it turned out pretty good! The fact it fits like a glove makes me relieved I don't have to rebuild it lol! The Nighthawk was pretty easy to build, took me maybe a solid half day of building! Plenty more to come, with the Helm of Saint 14, Eternal Warrior, Hood of the Exile, Light Beyond Nemesis, Obsidian Mind and the Skull of Dire Ahamkara on the to build list in the coming weeks! Watch this space!

I need to redo the skull of ahamkara. Make it easier or stream line it
Are you trying to build your raid team here?
I bet the apex ear piece gave you trouble.
Did you ever finishe the lord shax and the other helm?

I did start a skull of ahamkara a while ago, and it seemed fine! A bit hard but nothing too impossible! And nah, not building my raid team! Just building the helmets to ultimately see how they look in person and to see how hard each one was from a skill furthering aspect! And the ear pieces were actually pretty easy! I found the mouth area really hard, as it was the last area I worked on! The lord Shaxx helmet is at my parents' house at the moment, still unfinished, but I will pick it up the next time I head over thereand will get it finished!
