So after the sniper issue im gonna get started on my ODST build. Was looking at a halo 3 spartan and got to the boot file for foam and holy hell. That looks like something im gonna have to tackle as an actual pep file so back to the ODST. i should have boots and maybe shins posted tonight.

Boots are done being fabricated, and being the first time using contact cement for my adhesive have fallen in love. It makes it so much easier. Now I just have to figure out how its going to be afixed to the boots as those ar me my work boots. Im thinking a piece along the sides to just connect the 2 pieces.

Looking good.

For attaching the boot covers, you should be good to go with some kind of strap or elastic between them. If you find the boots shifting at all you can add a piece of elastic underneath the front that wraps under your boot. That's what I did for mine, and the boot covers have held up well while walking, jumping, and crouching without shifting around.

I'd say it looks good, just be careful about the back of your shin. don't want it rubbing up against your knee joint. PaiganBoi knows what i'm talking about
What he4thbar said. It looks right game wise.... Functionality is another thing. If the backs of the shins come up into the backs of your knees, walking will be awkward and you won't be able to sit and don't even try stairs.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Just glad I used minimal foam before I saw this. (Was working front bottom around then up) what do you recommend take off 1,2, or 3 inches in height?

Hmm, try bending your knee at 90 degrees, does it clip with the back of your thigh/knee joint. I'd say only a few inches would make it perfect, mine really cut it close too.

Man. I am impressed. Your odst is going so well you are taking so many notes and figuring out the issues it took myself 3 suits to learn. You are going to have one amazing suit when your done. Keep at it trooper! We’ll see you feet first.

Surgery was a success was able to save the pieces and this is the progress of the night. Missed some progress pics along the way, got a bit excited. Almost finished 1 shin. Should have them both done tonight. But first need to sleep the day away.
