Been lurking and admiring the craftsmanship on this site for a while now. Was finally able to register a few months ago and have just been in awe with the talent and imagination. Its nice to "come home" and find out that there are lots of you that share the same interests as me.

Here are a few pics of my H4 helmet in progress. I'm not a stickler for 100% game accurate so I have made a few changes. Test visor is mounted and gold will replace one painted is done. Thanks much to all that added inspiration and tech help.

Made a bit of progress on the helmet this week. Added the side scoops and breather screws as well as more body work. The pinholes never end. Since the helmet is going to be somewhat battle damaged I think I'm about done trying to get it perfect.

Gold visor with honeycomb is in the works as well.

I'm working on that same piece.
The pep on this one is a challange.
I hope mine turns out even close to that good, great job!

Should be painting the helmet and the visor this long weekend. Till then here is my take on the A.I. chip. Not quite done but you get the idea

god love the h4 mc helmet it's just awesome! great job on the helmet so far and i really like the visor =D keep up the great work

You do realize that you're going to be hounded until you share the method you used to make the honeycomb pattern on the visor. Great job overall!! Very clean and sharp details. I can't wait to see more!

After spending over an hour removing a thousand little octagons from the visor....from those pics it looks as if I could of used a silver or off white vinyl graphic to get the same results but does look a bit better in person. I've actually came up with a few better ideas now that its done for the rest of you. Sandblasting might work or some kind of etching liquid or even sand paper.

I used the negative of a 2 part stencil i bought off an ebay seller (PM for details on that) I then used a spray glass frosting spray but you could use matte clear or something similar. Since I'm using a bit of a bubble type visor the stencil did not lay flat. Also, the frosting doesn't really stick like paint, its good but no great. I have a flat gold visor that I'll put the positive honeycomb pattern on and try that as well. .

**EDIT ** Getting a lot of question on the visor. Its for a ICON Variant motorcycle helmet in gold

Today I managed to do all the black accents and a matte coat. It leveled out the paint nice but dulled all my highlights so I have to do a bit of a retouch. Drilling the visor later today so look for completed pics later tonight.

Thanks much for all the comments.
Without all the awesome posts on the site, this would of probably not of been possible so tanks much to all who share their work!

This is in the wrong forum.....
