I'm using all purpose cement glue. I've been. Practicing bevel cuts with a new x acto knife but it popped out of the socket when cutting pieces but it's fixed now

also dont cut the bevels after cut the pieces out, cut it on a bevel first

It's a metal nail file. It's rough like sandpaper and can file off unwanted parts like a dremel

A handy investment is a rotary tool, such as a Dremel. You can get cheaper ones that usually do the job too. These make it sooooo much easier to get nice clean edges and seams.

I'm currently building a cosplay and I considered three options. You could buy a motor cycle visor, a sheet of plastic then shape and window tint it, or, there is this seller on Etsy that sells a gold, see through, sheet of plastic.

yes check out Kamui they are amazing.

looking at your armor and the way you're building it, it might suit you better to use hot glue. it will glue and fill gaps in the seams. you wont be able to sand it but smoothing it with either your finger (if its not too hot) or a putty knife or butter knife of some sort would probably do the trick

another tip that might help with cleaning up the seams while gluing is to "clamp" the pieces together with masking tape while they dry. just tape all the seams up until its all set.
