this is my first time trying to post here so please excuse me if i posted in the wrong place or anything,

Anyways i am going to build a Mark vii suit for the next comic con stockholm
The suit will be 50/50 foam and 3d printed ( but now its like 10/90 because i printed a lot more of the parts
Im using files from the armory here and the files by moe sizzlac on thingiverse
It is probably my sixth suit ive made but i want this to be the best one ive made so far so im going to give it more attention than the other ones

Looking good! Are you doing a flat visor or looking to vacuums form it? Also are you going to chrome?
Thank you,I am going to vacuum form a new one with 0,5mm petg plastic and dye it with i dye poly then chrome it with some silver airbrush paint on the back

Do you have a vacuum form? That would be awesome! I've been looking at how to do that.
Thank you, I think i might do a halo infinite Ar ( using foam so i can make it attach to the back) and ive made a combat knife to sit on the chest piece
If you need help mounting the knife, I have the same model and can assist you with mounting it. Mine stays like a charm. It is completely detachable without any marks or visible attachment points, as shown in my photos without it.

Yeah i made a vacuum former with plywood, its not anything fancy but it works and it was free instead of the bought ones that are quite pricey
yes i would like to know how you attached you knife because im a bit scared i wont always want it on

Update: I printed the shoulders and the left bicep,
I also had to remake the vacuum forming buck because the old one got crushed when vacuum forming with plexiglas
I printed both forearms in total 4 forearm pieces / prints because it saved a lot of plastic (and i wanted to print it on my a1 mini and its too small)
I also printed the thrusters but i have no picture rn, but they are a bit too heavy and i might make them hollow so they don't make the foam chest and back sag too much.

Just finished the left thigh but im going to 3d print some of the details and the upper knee cap that i made in foam but i dont really like it so im going to print it, and i still dont know how im going to do the leds in the front holes but that is a problem for the future

i also finished printing both arms and hand plates, but i am now reprinting the forearms because they were too short (they were 100% scale but still too short)

reprinted the forearms and printed the back thrusters but the thusters are really heavy (500g per thruster) and because the chest is foam it sags a bit.
